New Feature: Advanced Car Search

I'm very excited to announce the release of the Advanced Car Search, another feature exclusive to GTVault. As always, feel free to post your feedback.
From the FAQ:
The Advanced Car Search page is a complex yet powerful GT car search engine. With Advanced Car Search you can search for and display virtually all car related data in the GTVault database. The Search form is laid out in two sections. The top section takes various inputs to use as a search filter. The bottom section contains checkboxes for the items to display in the search results. Using a combination of these, one could answer any GT car related question. Here is an example:
Question: In GT4, Which FR cars from the USA have a Stock HP rating over 300?
Solution:
- Go to the Advanced Car Search page
- Select "USA" from the Nation drop down list
- Select "FR" from the Drivetrain drop down list
- Enter "300" under the "More Than" column for "HP"
- Check "Stock HP" (and any others you'd like) in the "Columns to View" section
- Click the "Search" button
- A list of FR cars over 300 Stock HP is displayed
- Click any of the column names to sort by that column
- For example, clicking the "Stock HP" column twice will place the highest HP cars at the beginning of the search results
The above example was a relatively simple one. Any car question, no matter how simple or complex, can be answered by using the Advanced Car Search. It should come in especially handy when researching which car to use for restricted events.
Notes:
- If no "Columns to View" are checked, Make is automatically selected to ensure results formatting is correct.
- Use Ctrl + click on the "Make" and "Nation" drop downs for multiple selections.
- When viewing search results, click the "Edit Search" button at the top right to modify your existing search. This will save time when you wish to change an already complex set of search criteria.
- From search results, click a Car Name to view all details for that car
- From search results, click a Setup quantity to view all setups for that car
- All text fields in the "More Than" and "Less Than" columns are designed for numeric entries.
- Car Name is always displayed first in the search results, regardless of what columns are chosen.
- After sorting on any column, you can save the URL as a bookmark for future use

Super Seven
In the advanced car search thing and in the GT4 car list it says the Super Seven Fire Blade makes only 239 hp, it makes 290 hp if you install the semi-racing exhaust (the second most expensive one) I don't know why but it just does, try it
When driven properly a 911 can do magical things...

I can see why you did and I think it's a good addition for GTVault but I'm not really sure I would get any use out of it...... either way all is good, the place grows in size every week
Now then I've been busy playing Resident Evil4 for the PS2 but also digging up some info for Poly's next gen GT5, not a whole lot I've found is new but the images I've seen show up to around 16 cars on track with a very busy pit lane
But becuase the PS3 isn't expected until 2007 now Poly need somthing to fill the time cap and it looks as tho this is gunna be what they have up in mind for spring 2006 on the PS2... Now then I hope you like Motorbikes as much as I do because look what we are getting!
Enjoy:

Carn't help but think I know those tracks lol At least they have they dont have to design the tracks from total scratch using pen and paper :P

Very cool!
I'll be using this to decide what cars to use in certian races to gain max a-spec points against ai. Will also be very usefull to pick the right car for board chalanges lan races etc..
Thanks again for all the work.

GT2000,
Interresting to say the least, allthough most motocycle racing games tend to either be to difficult to control (MotoGP commes to mind) or to unrealistic. I am looking forward to see how PD solves this problem, you just can't lean into a corner with your joypad.
By the way have you seen the specs. of the 2006 Yamaha YZF-R6? It's red line is at an insane, hold on to your hat, 17.500 RPM! With a max power of 133 HP.
Greetz Zeratul.
Fast is on the edge of control.
Game at 99.4% guess where I'm stuck at?

Man, what a crock! Why would a semi-racing exhaust put out more HP than racing? Shame on PD for this and their many other mistakes with this game. BTW - I changed the max rating to 286, which is the number from the garage detail screen (where all the other GTVault numbers come from).

I hadn't thought of it from an A-Spec points perspective, but that's definitely a good use for it.

^I know what you mean altho Moto GP4 on the PS2 seems fine to me.... Moto GP3 produced by THQ for the Xbox however is a pain the a$$ lol

other car list on the web
hi kerr,
do you know the gt4 car list on gtplanet? its on http://www.gtplanet.net/gt4/car_list/get_cars.php.
good point of that is that there is more data per car in the result screen.
please don't think i'm not a faithfull vault member
this one is better because you can search on more variables.
greetz from rainy holland.
truly yours: bigracer@holland gt4 currently at 96.4%, >760 cars, >150M cr.
i like german road cars, speed 6+12 and hsc best

Yes, I am aware of gtplanet's search page but it lacks the ability to search on many items. I wanted something more flexible.

I don't have cars classified out as "DTM" or "Le Mans", but you could use "JGTC" in the search string to find all in that series.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
mx512p - I saw your tagline of "future Celica GTS owner" - Ever thougt about the Scion tC? They're competitive, the cost is low, plus the performance add-ons are becoming more plentiful.
I also saw you like Pink Floyd. If the Australian Pink Floyd Show ever comes your way, be sure to catch them. They sound almost like the real thing.

unfortunately Scion doesn't sell cars in Italy. I chose the Celica because my uncle owns a blue one, so I'm going to take it (with no expense !) when he'll change his car. Now he wants to buy a Cayman: I hope to take it too when he'll change his car again !!
I love Pink Floyd, but that's a pity they will not come in Italy next year. Maybe I can catch them when I'll go to England for holidays

I've not been so excited about a new Porsche model in some time. Basically every article I've read on it says that the Cayman is everything the 911 should have been. Granted, we're talking about a comparison of two fine performance cars. But, when you look at the sticker price, looks and comparative performance IMO there's no question which to purchase -- that is if you have the spare change.
