Advanced Car Search - Enhanced
Somebody somewhere asked me if I could add power to weight ratio to the search criteria on the Advanced Car Search page. Well, I finally had some free time to add both Stock and Tuned P/W ratios as searchable criteria. I hope this helps some of you out.
Enjoy!

Hey Kerr, don't mind me requesting also. Is it convenient for you to add the Tuned Weight to the columns to view options also? It would be of great help as many Road Cars can have weight reduction upgrades, so perhaps the Tuned Weight can give us a expected cornering ability of the car. Thanks.

Kerr, one brand of cars is missing from your GT4 Car List. Where's Vauxhall?

Vauxhall is Opel, basically. It just depends what version (country) of the game you have. Kerr, there is a small problem with the Subaru 360's name. It says "Subaru Subaru 360"---the link----- Subaru Subaru 360------Thanks again for this great site, Kerr!!!
P.S. I am working on a GTVault Database that includes all the setups in GTVault for iPod-----------It is sooooo cool. I have a Beta Version That I will not make public unless you give me permission; Kerr.

BlazingTinCan - GTTuner is correct on that. We used the NA version of the game to compile all the car data, and there are some slight differences between versions in terms of naming and also some cars being available.
GTTuner - That sounds intersting, but I wonder the value of it due to the small screen size on the iPod? Setups generally need a good amount of space to display correctly. I can't be a real judge as I do not and will not have an iPod or any other portable music device until they hit at least 500GB.
Has anyone played the GT HD demo on the PS3? I got a PS3 last week and have been playing around with it. I'm going to post on the home page soon, but thought I would just check.

Oh, and the screen on the iPod Video (2.5 inches) is large enough for "iVault". Only Problem is... iPod limits only 1000 setups. Navigation is not a problem... Its like GTVault and iPod were made for each other.
Please Note My New (and permanent ) e-mail address: paganiracer7 at yahoo dot com. Feel free to contact me here as i have devoted this address to GTVault.

Hi all, been a while since I've signed in. Been busy.
@GTtuner: Interesting stuff there mate, I'd be interested in testing
@Kerr: See you've got ya self a PS3. I haven't yet due to there being no GT5 in the stores for about a year or more and the high price of the machine. You playing it on a HD TV by any chance?
and has that GT HD demo got an in car view? I think its something PD might be working on for GT5 as one of the other members here posted up an image in another topic a while back. Might be worth making another topic for this

please help, I'm desperate!
Okay, I have a problem.
I'm trying to win the Nürburgring Nordschleife race on the Gran Turismo All Stars championship. Can anyone tell me a decent setup for a Formula Gran Turismo that doesn't lose 30 seconds when switching from practice to the race itself?

Penny, You can go to the "Knowledge Base" section here at the site, (< left margin), and find the car with setup I used, as well as some race notes and pit strategy and tire choice for GT All-Stars and other race series as well. Follow the link from "KB" to the Mazda I used for that race series. Good luck with your race, Brian.

@GT2000
The GTHD demo doesn't have an in-car view, but suffice it to say the visuals are head and shoulders above anything I've seen on a console to date.
Yes, I'm playing on a 1080p HD set, the Samsung HL-S6187W. The image quality is amazing for the price. Bear in mind a lot of games are only putting out 720p, so on a large screen like this they don't look nearly as nice as the 1080p games. Regardless, the image quality beats the crap out of anything I've ever seen on SD sets.
The PS3 was damned expensive, but I wanted to have a hi-def Blu-Ray player as well, so the price was right considering that factor. I do have a couple issues with the PS3 as a Blu-Ray player. The image has lots of noise at near white light levels, and there are no analog outputs to take advantage of Dolby True HD. I guess it doesn't matter all that much considering there are 0 receivers on the market which will decode the new codecs. Oh, and as I understand it the PS3 won't pass DTS-HD Master Audio, but at least this thing is upgradeable and I've heard Sony will be allowing for that codec in a future firmware release.

@Kerr: Nice TV you've got there. I've only got this:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/monitors/lcd/lcdtvmonitors/ls19dowssedc.asp
It does the job as it gives me the HD gaming I wanted when I purchased the Xbox360. Its about the biggest TV I could fit well in the shoe box I call a bed room!
