Killer cars in GT1 & GT2
This is for you tuners who have played GT1 and GT2 extensively. I remember each game had one car that just kicked the crap out of every other car, then in the next game in the series that same car pretty much sucked. So, badass car in GT1 = crappy car in GT2 and the same went for a second car in GT2 then GT3.

Anyone remember the two cars I'm talking about? A free pat on the back goes to whoever gets it right first. I'm outta here til Tuesday, see ya then.

Well, I never played GT1, but I did play GT2 a lot, and the the second car has to bb the Suzuki Escudo. I'll take a long shot on the first car. The GT40?

Gran Turismo

Cerbera LM - hands down the best car in GT.

FTO LM - Second best car, great speed, awesome handling.

Gran Turismo 2

Cerbera LM - still a great car, but came under heavy comp from the newbies, the GT-Ones, and Escudo.

FTO LM - tighter than (...well, I wont go there :P) - lets just say the car went from great in GT, to sucked so bad I hated it. Developed one hell of a push - definately not the same characteristics.

Gran Tursimo 3

Well, sadly, the Cerb is gone, but the FTO LM is still there with a new face lift, and handling like it did in the first game.
However, the GT-Ones, and Escudo are no longer the big dogs on the totem pole, due to the fact the F1's will kill them anytime, any track. They may not have the high HP you see in other cars, but you cant argue with the handling, and the power to weight ratio.

Thats my two cents. I may be wrong, but I hope I am right!! Great topic Kerr!!

Killer Cars
In GT1 : Cerbera LM and Concept CAR LM are the absolute Monster Cars
followed by Impreza LM and FTO LM

IN GT2 : Escudo the best, and after a lot of tuning the Speed 12

in GT3 : Polyphony01, Mazda 787B, followed by most of the GT Class Cars

sucked most : Escudo in GT3,

missed the most : Racing Chassis Modification Frown whats the use in 800 + Hp with no downforce

but after all, I love GT3 after having my 100 % complete, I love to just race a game and have FUN, trying your wonderful Settings on all cars.

If I remember right, the mitsubishi GTO(3000GT) for GT1 which sucked royal ass in GT2 and the R34 skyline vspec in GT2. Also the toyota GT1 road car in GT2.

The answer is, it could really be a number of cars depending on your likes and dislikes. The cars I was thinking of were:

Mitsubishi GTO TwinTurbo (3000GT) for GT1
Suzuki Escudo for GT2

Both these cars had massive power when fully tuned and, set up properly, would unfairly beat the crap out of about any other car. Now we have the F1 series in GT3 to take their places.

I would give a close 2nd to the Dodge Copperhead Concept (I believe GT1) for it's ungodly acceleration, handling, and grip; especially for a RWD car. Although it didn't have the top end of a 1000hp car Smile I remember winning the car and seeing that PD intentionally messed up the gearing so it wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear until you tweaked it. Thanks alot, PD!

Keep posting your opinions, I'd like to hear about the fave cars of you GT veterans.

Well, i have to dissapoint you. I am a big carfreak but GT3 is my first GT-game. Never got a Playstation, i've had all the Nintendo's. Anyway, i hope my first setup to be ready soon, got some problems with the brake balance and to much understeer with cold tires. But it will come, oh yes, it WILL come.

Spyker,

The cars at the Spyker site looked pretty cool. I'll be honest - I hadn't heard of them before reading your post.

A3nImA,

Is your username a reference to Tool? They're one of the best bands in the world.

On the Speed 12 - It's fast as hell but I don't like the way it handles at all. On the other hand I haven't spent that much time tuning it.

The end of the world - that doesn't surprise me when you consider the band.

If I remember correctly, the Supra RZ in GT2 was a phenomenal car. Iit sat down coming out of the corners very well - especially for a RWD car.
