Godson9888 sent me a SharkPort save file which has a Corvette C5-R he worked on. I haven't messed with it yet, but he said it has 9000HP! I bet even SS tires wear out quickly with this thing. If you're interested, grab the file from the SharkPort Saves link on the left. Feel free to post your thoughts...
Thanks for responding to my e-mail i was the one who sent in the e-mail that said you should put more message boards. .Well Anyways i just wanted to ask about the sharkport..How does it work and what does it do i just dont get it if anyone would like to help me out please post a message.
It's a way to connect the memory card in your PS2 directly to your PC so you can transfer game saves. The software is sort of sketchy but works most of the time. The main hassle is the fact that you have to plug your PS2 into your PC via a short USB cord. You can find more info on www.interactacc.com or maybe on the granturismo.com forums.
thanks for explaining.
that sounds pretty cool receiving game saves online. once again i wanna say this site is great. there are new members everyday.there are almost 1000 members now and still risng.
Thanks for the compliments - I am looking forward to hitting the 1000 member mark. To be honest, I never thought the site was going to be this popular.
I told one friend about this site. I don't think he's a member yet. He said it was very helpful. I would tell my other friend, but they don't like GT3. Anyway, hopefully this site will reach 1000 setups.
this beast is truly awesome i hit 500mph before i ran out of room on the test course. it took some gear tweaking to get it to go anywhere, and is hard to get going, but is very fast. only problem is that my game freezes whenever i try to go into my garage, anybody know how to fix that?
anybody know if you can race an endurace race again after beating it and still get a prize car? because i beat some endurance races and i got a crappy car. a clio sport race car. im not saying its crappy..but i was hoping for an F1 car and i pushed the x too early.so i was wonder if i could beat the race again after already saving and get a different prize car?
SpeedFreak: I've been tracking Members vs. Setups on the site and it always tracks at about 2 to 1. So, at this rate we'll have to hit 2000 members before seeing 1000 setups. Of course, maybe that will change over time.
Wraith: I believe the freezing when going to the garage has to do with the fact you have a hybrid in the garage - I've heard of other people having the same problem. I don't believe there is a way to fix it except for going back to a save that doesn't have a hybrid.
snapper: It is easier to win the F1 cars in various Professional League series. If you're interested, gamefaqs.com has a couple good FAQs on where you can obtain all the cars in the game.
9000 bhp sounds cool, but my 9278 skyline can wipe the floor with that C5R. it goes 6.2 in the 1/4 mile @ 333 mph. i also have a tom's supra (16 000 +bhp)that runs 7.2 @ 246 mph.
I know, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I messed around with a Miata one day and I could access my garage with no problem. Another day I was just starting out tweaking a Vitz and could not get the garage to load. Maybe it has to do with the changing out of a particular paramater, who knows?
This book explains the car setups and other race info. It is for the Skip Barber Racing School and is available from Amazon or at book stores. It all translates very well into GT3 simulation.
