In case anyone hasn't already heard, Sony has "confirmed" that GT4 will be release in North America on 2/22/2005 and in Europe on 3/9/2005. I will believe it when I see the game in my hands.

I believe this date is true from what I have seen, and I can't wait! Fortunately for me, I have Tuesday the 22nd off... I predict a busy day of GT4 :-)

I was thinking about taking the day off as well. I am going to the Chicago Auto Show this weekend and am taking this Friday off to do it, so I don't know if I can swing it yet.

I was waiting for you to post this. hehe. I hope that gamestop gets it on the 22nd instead of later. I reserved it months ago and wouldn't be too happy if I saw it at walmart first.

I can't take that day off of automotive trade school, but I do get out at around 1:00 and could be at gamestop by 1:15 and home playing by 1:20 and in about a week you'll find me dehydrated and half starved and you'll see (and smell) that I have soiled myself because I won't want to move from my ps2. I'm sooo glad that I got the new wheel with the 900 degree steering mode too. Now all I need to do is persuade my wife to be my pit crew and bring me food, drink and change my undees, all in inder 14 seconds I'll be set. Hahaha!!!

all the game stores say that you will be able to pick it up the morning of the 23rd. By the way Kerr... are we gonna be able to post setups for it?

Chief - just rig up a toilet like contraption (only much more comfortable) so that you won't have to worry about soiling yourself!

Mines - Yes, I will upgrade the site so both GT3 and GT4 tuners will be able to post their setups. In fact, I've been working on it for over a year now. Unfortunately, since the game developers have not been forthcoming with technical details of the game, I must wait until after it comes out to do a lot of the programming work. So, it may be a little while before GT4 setup posting is available.

Hahaha Kerr!!! thats a great idea. I was thinking of going the "Depends" route actually. But I may change my mind now.

And did you know that the game guide is supposed to come out on the 15th of this month. It is sure to have specs on most of the vehicles in the game. I will be getting it asap and would be happy to help in any way I can. I can't donate again right now but I will when I can. just email me if you need help or post here.

Chief - thanks for the info on the game guide. I used the GT3 game guide when I originally programmed GTVault, but it lacked information that I needed. So, I had to go through every car in the game and get stats from them. I am almost certain this will be necessary for GT4 as well...

Damn it!!!

I just called gamestop and they said that the game guide had a printing error, and probly wont br released until after GT4 is released. Sorry for that info Kerr. What a bummer. Oh well, I just hope nothing like this happens to GT4s release.

And I'm glad the North America release waited for this long, cuz the Japanese version had some bugs that we won't see in the North American version. Smile

Chief - thanks for the update on the game guide. For purposes of programming gtvault, the previous game guide was pretty much worthless anyway.

On the subject of bugs - I feel that the excruciatingly long wait we've had should guarantee a perfectly working game. There's no excuse to delay a scheduled game release for over a year and then release a buggy product... all because you want to include features that a lot of gamers couldn't care less about (Picture Mode).

Yeah, I won't be delving into photo mode at all. I doubt I will ever even check it out. I bet they put that in just to help sell some damn printers.

Anyways, I hope the release date holds, and the game is flawless. Just think: this time next week we may be throwing controllers across the room in frustration at the license tests.(and loving every minute of it) Aaaahahaha!!!

Mojo = glutton for punishment. keep the wind at your back and your RPMs high and hope for the greatest racing game since...well, GT3.

GT4 Date

Not been on the site for a few weeks... GT4 9th March date for the UK is still holding and looking good.
Carn't wait to get it.

BTW: Kerr some special info for ya... GT4 PAL version will have 12 added cars in the game along with a few updates to the world map ect... A few peeps I know in AUS have been playing the Jap version but the Pal game will be well worth the wait as the graphics ect will be better...
