tire choice depends on track but i keep them matched. thats how suspension ended up so stiff. so i could tune the car to drift to my liking without mismatching tires. also spent a lot of time with camber and toe angles. you could try a half click negative toe in the rear. HOWEVER IF YOU USE THE D_PAD AND NOT JOYSTICK: Front camber 0.0. rear still 4.4 and definitely add some negative toe front and rear. likes to be thrown into corners with a little persuasion but once sideways very controllable, good for transitions. not a stupid oversteer setup (positive rear toe is a dead giveaway as far as im concerned). LET ME KNOW if you like it. or even if you dont.
ive also tried this exact setup with great success on the 3rd gen rx7, all s13 s14 s15 cars, the ae86 (which is a picky little bastard), the altezza, also HERE's A LITTLE CHALLENGE. make a 1100 hp supra rz. with these exact settings and super soft tires. leave it in 6th gear and drift around your favorite course. if your good enough with the throttle. if you dont want to do the 6th gear thing put a smaller turbo on
ONE LAST THING. if you are good with this setup and enjoy it. please direct me to some GT4 drift setups which might suit my driving style. i'm pretty good at all gran turismo. i have a 5.09xxx at the ring with untuned F1 car. one thing i cant seem to do in GT4 though is drift (on pavement). the physics of lateral and longitudinal acceleration relative to body motion and wheelspin are much different between 3 and 4. and i just CAN'T DRIFT IN 4 dammit!!! i keep getting that ugly snap back thing. and if i manage to tune that out the car just ends up completely oversteer happy or something. or it just spins tire and wont go anywhere. ive almost given up on gt4 drifting. SOMEBODY HELP ME
