New Feature: Prize Car List
I had to delay development on a lot of useful features during the release of GTVault for GT4. One of those features was a Prize Car List. The permanent link to the list is located in the Navigation section at the left. A couple notes:

  • Each list column can be sorted by clicking the column header.
  • Each list column can be filtered by typing a search string and then clicking the "Filter" button at the top right corner. Filters can be reset by clicking the "View All" button, also at the top right.
  • League name links redirect to a list of Events for each league.
  • Event name links redirect to the detail page for each event.
  • Make links filter the Prize Car List for each make.
  • Car name links redirect to the detail page for each car.
  • Just like all other GTVault features, the list is backward compatible for GT3.

I hope you guys can get some use out of it. The filters should help out quite a bit.

The site's going great Kerr,
I just checked out the new feature (Prize car list) and it's great, it's a sic idea, and like what you said it's really easy to sort through the list,
It's easy to tell you are putting a lot of hard work into making this site work and the success of it is unbelievable.
One thing, would i be able to propose an idea forward to you on adding to the site Question?
Always, Sicface

It´s nicely done to the smallest aspect (e.g. this here posting interface). Even I can put in a smilie I guess - Ninja Master - well, that´s intuitive, I say.
I like the list on a glance but I like a surprise even more and won´t go into it as yet. Good to know it´s there anyways.
I always missed a feature that tells me what cars can "physically" win a given event (do you get, what I mean?) meaning, you won´t win so much events with e.g. a spoon S2000, but which ones are worth a go?
I truly like the site, would never have gone so deep into the game without it. And the new look an feel, too. Thanks for that and it even looks great on my 12"-laptop screen, surprise!

Wow, achterpoot! Long time no hear, I thought maybe you were still playing GT3. It is good to see you have stepped up to the next level. I look forward to reading your comments.

Good to hear from you, too, DTW. Of course I´ve put some dust behind me getting the game soon as it was out. But two weeks later my son´s 11th birthday left me with an empty box (can you believe it?). Major cuts in my budget did indeed send me back to GT 3 where I´m 3 seconds from killing the GT40-Time (or the other way round). That s-license is tough, isn´t it? But its a no-shit way of learning to drive, too. Viper Concept handles like a brick, will you do a setup sometime? Good going Smile !

I have one question... it's not really related to this topic but the HP readings.

Buying parts for a car you might tune somthin to 500hp but you enter a race complete it and the HP gives a diffrent reading like 487 or somthin like that...which do you go off?

yeah i agree GT,
but not only what do you go off,
why does it take that little bit of HP off in the first place...?

Thanks for the easy to use list. I printed one off and refer to it often. The only thing missing is the Liscence Center cars and (does anybody know?) the 50%, 75%, and 100% completion cars. With 50% being the one I am most interested in since I don't know if I will ever get to 75 or 100. A Little Slow

Yeah, since the License tests and 50/100 completion prizes aren't tied to a race I couldn't integrate them into the existing list. I'm still thinking about how to get those integrated into the GTVault format.

Check here for the full prize list in text format, including the aforementioned prizes: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/gran_turismo_4_na_prize.txt

Kerr HELP! Another Site Glitch!
Kerr, I have yet another problem. When I was tuning setup #3756, I could not put a value of 10 on the Shock Absorbers for an Original suspension. It would only let me enter one digit, either just 1 or just 0. I tried to address this in the Notes section but I'm also lettin' you know in case others start reporting this. Also it might be confusing for someone new to look at it and be all, "Wait...you can't put a 0 in the game, it stops at 1. What the heck!" Thanks Kerr, hopefully it'll be another thing that seems like it's gonna be hard but ends up being easy. Late

sub_lethal - The input ranges are easy to change. Before I make the change though, what do you show as the minimum and maximum values that can be selected for Shock Absorbers for the Original Suspension?

Kerr, on the site the highest value I was able to put was 9. The minimum was 0. In the game it goes from 1 to 10.

You can now enter a value of 10 for the Shock Absorbers.

Thanks and a new suggestion.
___Thanks Kerr, I'll go edit it right now.
___ Kerr may I also make yet another suggestion? Could you perhaps under My GTVault where it says "Tuner: x, Registered: x, Logins: x, Setups: x, Posts: x" maybe add a Votes: x amount? I'm happy to go check my votes on the Top Ten Tuners by # of votes but I thought that might a cool thing to have right there.

Some hp off
I thought it due to the oil-change-extra - didn´t check, though. Just guess the increase in power due to first oil-change doesn´t show in the note.
