For the Camaro lovers
My brother-in-law recently purchased a 1969 Camaro 307. It's in pretty good shape, but he restores cars on the side, so this will be his next big project. Regardless, cars this old now get all kinds of looks and thumbs up on the road.

Looks beautiful man, I'd love to hear it purr. I'm a Camaro lover myself, I can't wait til they start puttin the concept into production. as far as restoring it... what all does it need restoring on? I mean, from the pics it looks as tho everything is still in pristine condition... the paint looks like it could be buffed out a little shinier, but other than that it looks perfect.

Upon closer inspection it needs a little work, mostly cosmetic. He paints Kenworth trucks for a living, so he'll be repainting the car at some point. New chrome will be needed here and there. Knowing him though I'm sure he'll tear almost the whole thing down and put it back together.

I know my views have been unrealistic, and again i'm sorry, i guess my setups are not up to scratch, and you people would rather not have me here, so cheers Kerr and see you

Kerr, that is one nice Camaro. It looks like your brother found a nice, original solid car to work with. I'm jealous!
I hope that, since this car is so nice and original, he will restore it to all original condition, and not rod, or customize it. Leave that for the clunkers that need everything done to them. IMO, natcherly. But then, I am a sucker for old originals.
BTW, if you want to see a great site for car photos, go to www.cardatabase.net, then click on the "Thumbnails only" link. There are over 30,000 car pics from all over the world,(and about 8,100 are my photos). Oldies, classics, rod & custom, WTF's, trucks, all sorts of goodies. And of course, a lot of cars that are featured in GT3 & 4. Check it out.

Robert - I'm fairly certain he'll be restoring it to original condition.
Cool site - I did have to sift through a few pages first, but there are some cool cars on there. Good variety.

looks like your friend has a nice 69 camaro if it were me i would leave it as is but thats my opinion. heres another good original car. my dad has a 1970 monte carlo with 27,109 original miles, never been "fully' restored, all original turbo fire 350 300hp v-8, th350 tranny, flowmaster muffler system with series 50 mufflers, it even has the original rallye wheels on it those still look great, new radiator, the things that have been touched are, its been repainted with sandalwood gold(color that it came with from factory) 4000$ paint job(done 7yrs ago with previous owner), new vinyl top, some exterior chrome refinishing, and thats about it it has a few problems with age the analog clock doesnt work right, airconditioning system needs work, carb air/fuel ratio needs adjustment, and thats the breakdown of that car. if u want pics give me ur emails (send your addresses to ps2gamer1 at msn dot com) and ask and ill send some sorry if its off topic but condsidering the topic is about an old nice original car i kinda wanted to type about it
