Latest Setups enhanced
I'm sure about everyone has used the "New Setups" sidebar that's located on every GTVault web page. In the past, this section listed just the "new" posted setups and ignored any existing setups that had been recently updated. In discussing possible enhancements, NSXType-R and ukproracer both had a good suggestion, which was to include updated setups as well. I've made the necessary changes so that both new and updated setups are displayed in the now renamed "Latest Setups" sidebar.

Setups are displayed by date in descending order. As an example, let's say I posted a new setup five minutes ago, and NSXType-R updated one of his existing setups just three minutes ago. NSXType-R's setup will be displayed at the top with mine just below.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I appreciate it, though the community that evolved here over the years deserves more credit than any one person. I just put the tools in place, oftentimes at the request of users.

Great Addition
Kerr, A great addition to the site that gets the new info to the masses and keeps the active tuners in the loop. Wish I understood the workings of the internet a bit more,..... Think I'll stick to cars and helicopters. Good job, Brian

Well it seems like you get around GTVault easily enough!

I've also been thinking about ways to reformat the home page so that new setups are more prominent. I'm not sure if I can do something like this without changing the format of the site though. The nice thing about the current format is that the new setups are displayed for you regardless of which page you're on.

changes

Kerr,I know this is alittle off the cuff but I wanted to ask if you could please do away with my current name and set ups due to some online race haggling. I will continue under another name and knock off from the online BullS###.(racing) for awhile. Just do sets and play the game at home.
Thanx alot! Smile

BMW - There has been only one instance where I removed an account in six years, and that was for spamming a bunch of 0's, so basically abuse. I generally don't encourage removing accounts because it creates holes in discussion threads, etc. You're welcome to stop using your current account and sign up for another account at any time if you'd like. I can even suspend your current one from further posting at your request.

If you don't mind my asking, what was the nature of the haggling?

How hard would it be to attach Pictures of the Car to the Setups?

It would enhance the viewing pleasure.
I love the sight, keep up the Good Work! Thumbs Up

There were some racers on the west coast that I associated with online and found they were using using my name(illegally) on another site. We have racing teams or squads that go head to head with other teams in series championships using the races on GT4. We tally points and we have brackets kinda like the college b-ball final four. Since these west coast idiots were using my name and creating set-ups under it, my team thought I was betraying them racing with another team along with them. It caused a whole mess over trust and loyalty which caused my team to be eliminated in the first round of races. I was pissed that these guys stole my identity so to speak. It's cleared up on my end as to who was doing what, so I figured i'll just start fresh. The racers that all associate with these races know it was'nt me and say keep the name and press on. This is a great platform you have with the game and big ups to all the tuners involved and there posts and set ups, i don't want to cause gaps in the system so I have resigned to stay as BMW.

Thanx for your response anyway Kerr. Thumbs Up

@therat1989: Keep me updated with you Forzagrage site mate, I might be interested in joining if that preview of the layout is anything to go buy. Do you have XBL by any chance? mine is FinalNitrous so feel free to add me if you like.

@Ker: Nice additions to the site, you put a lot of effort into it and its changed a lot since the days of the site being completely grey. Keep up the good work, a GT5 addion to be in the works in a few years time?

GT2000 - Yes, it's changed a lot since the "grey" days. You should have been around for the dark green days!

I do plan to enhance GTVault for GT5 when it is released... 2009?

Yea 2009 sounds about right... even if they tell us it'll come out in 2008 it will be delayed about 15 times before we see it.

Yep the green days were b4 my time thats for sure! I was probably still on dial up when you had that design.

Ok, let me know when you are getting close. I may be able to provide some troubleshooting pointers based on my experience here. Also, there is at least one guy I pointed your way due to interest in a GTVault type site for Forza 2. When you're all done I'll post up a note on the home page so that people will know about your new site.

I'm on the fence with a PS3 at the moment and will be until some real good titles become availble. The price is also a bit of an issue, for what it is, its a lot of money. Next gen gaming is expensive and if you want to get the best out of it a HDTV is almost required.

@therat: Noticed you were on XBL the other night but didn't get the chance to speak with you. One day we will.

@Kerr: Join the party on XBL when you get the $$$ to buy an Xbox360 ;-) and I'll do the same when I buy a PS3 ;-)

@GT2000...yeah I'm wondering what times you are normally online? I'm online between 9pm and 2am Standard Eastern time. I do not know if we are in the same time-zone or not. Smile
