I finally got a SharkPort the other day and I've been tinkering with this Hybrid editor which allows you to take parts from one car and put them on another. It's pretty fun seeing what you can do with it. After some tweaking I managed to get an F090/S up to 3524 HP! I hit a true 380mph on the test track and got the sucker to run 45's on Midfield. The only drawback is that your tires wear out VERY quickly.
Has anyone else delved into hybrid editing yet?
UPDATE: I obtained the hybrid editor from This site
finally tested it, and i love it. Got a Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX and threw in the engine from a F094/H. 1180+ hp and 260 top speed on the test course. I am gonna see what else i can get it to do. Only problem was it took forever to get up to speed, and i spun wheels for the first 2 gears so i see where tire wear comes in.
The guy who wrote the program to make the GT3 hybrids is the guy who wrote the program to detect the GT2 hybrids. Non other that mk. a Finnish guy, regular over at kenjis.
His replay swopper program for gt2 is awesome as from a replay it gives you the parts/settings/times the lot including the origin of which car a part came from in the case of hybrids. Overnight it eliminated cheating as long as there was a replay available of course.
Fingers are crossed that it wont be long now and a replay swopper prog will come for gt3.
Brill, when you consider the guy does not even own a PS2 eh?
I didn't know the extent of the GT2 replay swapper. That was definitely an indispensable tool. Seeing as how Kenji's site has been down for quite some time, mk should have all the more time to code the swapper for GT3
Sorry, I guess I didnt look hard enough - blind in one eye and cant see out of the other...
BTW, I am going to start working on the smaller cars - some great setups I have going - when I get them finished I will let you know...
BTW, the cars on the save I sent in that you have posted, its pretty much the higher end cars - most of being the prize cars, like the GT-One, Zonda, F1's, etc... You cant go wrong with it!
Hey that's cool, just let me know when you get them done! If we could get the .sps filenames to reflect the name of the car, I may just put them up as individual links. Would that be a possibility?
I will go ahead and change the names of each car on the individual file tonight, and hopefully have it back to you by no later than tomorrow. I will go ahead and add a few more I have done as well.
If you would like, I can make a zip file for each setting - you could post it on the page of settings to view - and hopefully download! Two files, one complete, and one all individually zipped.
Does anyone know if the hybrid editor works ok with the PAL version of GT3. I'm from OZ. I just came across it the other week and have been mucking around with it. I managed to drop a Flatfour Boxer turbo motor into a mini but have been unable to modify any other cars. Does the hybrid editor allow you to modify any car you want or is it a select few ?. Also, has anyone used that credit injector program by mk ?. It dont seem to work either.
Are you using the NTSC version of GT3 or the PAL version ? . I haven't been able to do any further mods accept for the mini. From my understanding of the Hybrid Editor I thought I should be able to copy and paste engines etc inbetween any cars that i choose. What about colours etc ?. Can you edit those sorts of things aswell ?.
Im having problems with my shark port, everytime i try to get my saves back to my mem card I get currupted files, have any of you guy's gone through this? how do you fix the problem?
