Thank you!
I just wanted to say thanks to all who have donated their hard earned dollars towards the upkeep of gtvault. I have had a lot of very generous donations come in lately, and thought I would thank everyone publicly in addition to the e-mails I've sent. Those of you who donated know who you are, however for those that don't know about it I have a Donating Members link under the Navigation tab. This page serves as a permanent record of all the generous members we have in the gtvault community. Thanks again for your donations, it is very much appreciated.

I know that GT4 is a long way off, but I am already working on major inprovements to the site. I can't go into specifics, but rest assured that gtvault will be ready for the release of GT4 with all the features you're used to plus a number of new ones.

Just a thought
Kerr,

First I know nothing about coding/programming so if what I sugest is to much work then by all means don't do it.

What I would like to see after the retool of this site is a "my comments" section so it would be easyer for members to find their comments and answers to them, insted of having to remember where they have made them or where they asked a question.

As I said just a thought...

Good suggestion -- I think Dadthewheel asked for this as well. I've found it hard to find some old comments as well. I'll add this to the list of things to do!

Does anyone know when GT4 will finally be released? I have surf the net and all say different dates. Can anyone shed some light on this well kept secret?

That's up for debate at this time. I check gamefaqs.com from time to time and right now it says Q3 2004 for the North American release. I thought I saw mention of December somewhere, but I can't find anything which supports that date at this time.

GT4 release date
According to the people at the store where I buy my games the release of GT4 will be at the end of this year in mainland Europe, so Q3 of 2004for the US sounds possible.

And GT4 Prologue will be released in may here.

Hope this sheds some light on the matter, greetz Zeratul

Just wanted to thank Kerr for building and maintaining this site, and Fumes, Dad, NovaSS and all the other great tuners for sharing their expertise. I have been playing this great game for months and have had a lot of fun with it. After reading this and some of the other GT3 forums I suspect that GT3 is a game that is secretly enjoyed by a lot of "older" guys who just love cars and driving. I would not be surprised to learn that the age-demographic for this game is a good bit older than for the "average video game". I myself am a 1956 model. Again, thank you for your work. I look forward to trying the setups and learning how to improve my own tuning and driving skills. Regards . . . . BlueMoose

I have another suggestion that I would like to see for the GT4 site; the ability to pick “Control Pad” or “Wheel/Peddles” on the car setup screen. As I picture it, it would work the same way that you select tires or muffler now. Now that I have purchased and started using the new Logitech Driving Force Pro I can really see that there is a difference in setups for the wheel/peddles and the control pads. There would not be any need to get too high speed by giving selections like “MoMo Wheel” “Dual Shock 2” so forth and so on. Just the choice of one or the other should be fine.

That's a good idea. I'll have to take into account that new setups entered into the database need to be backward compatible with the old setups which won't have the selection. In addition, I'll need to make the old setups updateable with the new selection.
