This is one incredible car and it is no wonder racing versions of them are found throughout the professional series. I feel this setup uses the cars potential but remains a solid platform versatile enough to run on almost any track with only minor adjustments to the Auto Setting and downforce. As in GT3 I just can’t see the point of paying out the cash for a Stage 3 Weight Reduction. The TCS setting of one is for launch control only; feel free to take it down to zero. Have fun and feel free to leave a comment or two.

Great setup! I just went and bought this car to try your settings.I took it to "The Ring" and got a 7'16.166 on the first lap. It wasn't completely clean. I would also like to thank you and everybody else that help Kerr with the new GTVault!!

@Kerr: Thank you for all the work that you have done to get this awesome site up!It looks great!

Great work guys!!!

Thanks for the feedback!

I am trying to do cars that I feel are the closest GT4 version of the race cars in SCCA etc. Hence this one and the Volvo S60, I am working on the Ford Mustang GT now but with my time constraints it is taking much longer than I want it to. If you are using the DS controller it may explain the not so clean lap you ran, I am using the DFP. With a few minor changes to the shocks and or springs it should clear up any problems.

Oh by the way, Nurburgring is where is I do my initial and finale testing. When I say road track that is just what I mean, the car may not be the best on one track but it can be raced with little or no change on all tracks. 7.16.xxx sounds a lot like what I got.

I haven’t worked on the race car version yet, in fact I don’t even have it in the game I am playing. Due to my work here and class schedule I have only managed to complete 7.8% of the game. My advice may not work but with most race cars keep the springs on the softer side (less than 50% on the slide bar) and the Downforce up. I know this isn’t much help and I truly apologize in advance. Frown

I found that the cars in GT4 are not as “stock”, for lack of a better term, as they where in GT3 so I really have to get the car and work with it before giving any advice. The race car version is on my list of cars to do (see above post about SCCA tuning), but at 7.8% I want to enjoy the street versions before the race versions. Check out Fumes tuning guide, I don’t follow everything that he advises but we seem to use very close approaches with the difference being in the driving style.

Thank's BTW. In fact I entered a series of races run at ign.com, (gt4 board) w/ this car. I already got a good setup, but still need to take 1 or 2 sec. off my lap times. I´ll try your suggestions.
PS: This car is easy to get. Just enter european events/schwarzwald liga b (a few races w/ 3 laps each)

Afraid not off the top of my head Frown , but I do take requests as does Fumes; although I can’t be sure if he is right now. As for me I will take them (and make them a priority) but they have to wait till any car I am working on at the time gets done. Also keep in mind, here or at any site, when asking for a request they may use a different controller than you. The biggest complaint I hear is that my setups understeer but most of the time this is only due to the difference between my Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel and their Dual* Shock 2 controller. Mad

I hope that helps out some if not feel free to ask anyone around here; and welcome to GTVault! We worked hard to get this site running for you and all the other members! Big Grin

What is the "Duel Shock 2" controller, I wonder? Is it for a new duel style gunfight game that I'm not aware of? Unibrow

That may have been what you meant to say before you corrected Roll Eyes Sarcastically

Not sure -- I don't want to get a DFP until I can get a good rig set up, and I've yet to decide on which direction I want to take on that.

DTW,

Just a heads up, a lot of DFP users inlcuding myself have had problems with the pedals of this wheel. I've had to fix it by rewiering the pedals form my old MS Sidewinder wheel to work with the DFP (just solder the DFP cable to and other set of pedals and it should work eventhough the resistor values are completely different).

So in other words if you still have and old set of pedals don't throw them out.

I read about that on the net, so far I have no problems nock on wood. If I do then I am screwed, I don't have another set of pedals.

If need be you could always buy a resanably good, cheaper non force feedback wheel and use those pedals. Let's just hope you don't need to.
