No, it’s kind of like using the nitrous. It is too easy already so why add it unless I don’t want to add other mods to the cars, I could do that but I choose not to. Also I found it adds new aspects to tuning the cars and trying to get the most out of them.
More than either of those reasons it is just a personal preference to make the game more challenging. Like my accident free rule. If I have what would be a major accident I pit the car (over 30 lap race) or drop out (under 30 lap race). Sure it screws up my win average but what does it matter? It adds fun and a bit more challenge. I thought the game was going to have a built in system for this upon its release. Instead all you have is that dumb pit or penalty rule and that doesn’t’ even apply to the carrier mode.
A new thing I decided to do today was that after reaching 100% I will go back with a new game and let B-Spec Bob be my racer. That should be fun trying to tune the cars so he can win. All I will need to drive is what; the license tests?
