This setup is specifically for anyone who wants to use B-Spec, computer controlled, racing.
It's specifically tuned to conserve on tire wear, and is more or less at a point similar to Ai tire wear. However, still has some extra speed over the other Ai drivers.

Setup is good for all tracks. Tested on the F1 races and this setup wins all races.
But watchout when the car pits, you need to be around to press the OK button or you loose too much time in the pits waiting for a response.

Important note: Please adjust the gear ratio depending on the track you are on. In street tracks like Cote d Azur, New York and Tokyo - use gear ratio auto set to 14. Other high speed tracks can use 18 or 17.

Fumes - try re-entering your downforce settings.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but:

1. this doesn't work for Fly like the wind and the formula GT championship race.
2. Brake Balance is Brake Controller and it is not None it is Equip.
3. Limited slip is not full it is none.
4.AYC is not normal it is also none.

srry but i had to say something Thumbs Down

Thanks for the feedback, GranSkyline.

1 - dunno what you mean there.
2 - Will get that corrected. There is another issue related to this, wherein on race cars the default Brake Controllor is 'None' even though in the game it can only be 'Equipped'. There is unfortunately not an easy automatic fix at my disposal, but this can be avoided on each setup by simply selecting "Equip".
3 - Actually, it is "Standard", and that is a mistake on PD's part. The FGT is the exception rather than the rule when it comes to cars in GT4. In order to adjust LSD numbers for basically every other car, one must equip the "Full Customize" LSD. Why the hell would you have a "Standard" LSD which could be "Fully Customized" from a settings perspective?
4 - Will get that corrected.

You are correct, fixed.

GranSkyline wrote:

LSD is listed as “Standard” in the games setup screen however if you click the wrench you can tune the rear. So for GTVault it is “Full”.

GranSkyline wrote:

AYC only has two states; “Normal” and “Equipped”. So normal is the same as none.

Thanks for the feedback and keep it up, it will be the only way we can weed out the few bugs.

Did you see my last post, DTW? LOL

AYC and VCD should now reflect their correct names and values. The FGT tuners will have to live with the semantics of the LSD being incorrect, as PD saw fit to be inconsistent with their nomenclature.

This still leaves the issue of Brake Controller (name corrected) defaulting to "None" on race cars. There isn't a short term fix unfortunately, but tuners can of course select "Equipped" in order to enter settings.

GranSkyline,

the final gear figure is default. I didn't change it.

This Bspec setup works really well for me in Formula GT Championship, using Bspec AI driver.
You still have to qualify for pole position at the start, so that you are not stuck behind the other cars. That way you will get a good lead in before the first pit stop.

As for "Fly Like the Wind" race, you have to change the auto gears to to about 22 and reduce downforce. I have posted a general road setup, not specific track setups. As such the setup for fast tracks will need slight tweaking of the gears and downforce.

Please check out the Tuning Guide for a brush up on tuning theories, so you can apply it to twaeking.

Quality set up. Just completed formula gt championship.Didnt bother to qualify and still manage to finish 1.What I did find tho was to try and run an extra lap or 2 more than the other cars before pitting. This give you and advantage towards the end of the race because you dont make as many pit stops.Nice work fumes

I will come up with my take on a setup for Nurburgring though. Soon.

That's one difficult track. Very technical. It's got everything. Hills, fast corners, slow corners, smooth road, dumpy road, banked turns, etc etc.
