I love them Mazda’s and this one is a sweet ride! Winning with it was too easy and almost took all the fun out of the race. I was able to take this car deep into the corners and open the throttle at apex for the back to snap around, or just power into the corner ignoring that darn blinking light and power right back out. Did I say I love them Mazda’s? As always feel free to leave feedback.

TCS is for launch control only, port polish and engine balance done.
Setup for the DFP.

Very nice setup. I have a fully tuned RX-8 Type S, and I use the DS2 controller. I found your setup to work really well. I managed a sloppy 1'21.507 at Laguna Seca. I went for NA Stage 3 and a supercharger, rather than turbo, and I love how freely and smoothly the car revs. Job well done.
This had nothing to do with what you think, if you even think at all.

Thanks I really appreciate it; the only improvement I would like to make (with this and all my setups) is a change that will allow a smoother balance between the DFP and the DS2.

A great setup Thumbs Up! I also dont own a DFP (im just too tight lol) but found that even with the DS2 this car handled very nicely indeed. On my second lap around Fuji 80's i got a time of 1:30.154 and i'm sure that after a bit more practice i could get a second or two faster than that. I'll be sure to check out some of your other setups in the future!

Thanks rigger, feel free to leave feedback on any of my setups. When you do though try to describe the problem you found, something like “handles like a beached whale” would be poor feedback! Big Grin Nod

If it counts for anything I really tried to resist the urge, but I just had to post it. That was a great line, didn’t tell me anything till you clarified it but it still had me laughing! Big Grin

Unfortunately for my ego, I can't take the credit. I heard it on Top Gear. lol

(Top Gear is a British television program, syndicated on The Discovery Channel, that takes high end sports cars, etc. and tests them, races them, and pretty much does everything with them we all dream about doing. The hosts add a touch of stereotypical British humor to the mix to make quite an entertaining show. Much better than Motor Trend Television...lol /just incase you didn't know)

I think for the Nordschleife its too stiff. The car bumps at the braking zone so its difficult to brake right... (Maybe it belongs to my DS2), i will test your set at other tracks and post again. Smile

If memory serves right than yes it should work fine. If not than I think the type-1 is looser and the setup will need the springs tightened? Confused

That sounds bad; can we work together to make it better? What problems is it giving you? I will be off line till next week; long story but the Army is having us move to a new home so I am pulling the computer down today.
