My first Gran Turismo 4 setup, please be kind. lol

I worked hard to reduce understeer as much as possible, unfortunately it still understeers quite a lot. The best lap I could churn out was 1'39'074 at Infineon(sports car). This setup may work well for those who use the Driving Force Pro as I think it handles a tighter setup better than the Dual Shock 2 does. I have no way of testing that myself, however.

I'd enjoy reading some feedback.

Understeer in an FF, go figure…
Try this out, change the rear toe to positive 4 and test, if that introduces to much wiggle in the rear than back off by one click till you hit a comfy point; adjusting the rear toe will aid in the understeer by helping to get the back end in the right direction.

Since this is an FF it won’t have the effect of “driving” the back end around a corner, there is no power to those wheels. What it will do is help to “rotate” the back end around the corner as the weight will be loading to that side, but it could produce too much tail wiggle. Note that I am using “driving” and “rotate” loosely.

Thanks! That helped out quite a bit. I didn't necessarily run a faster lap, but it was definately more relaxed. I didn't have to work as hard to get the end result.

Would you recommend LSD. I don't know if you actually drove this setup or not, but 1st gear is a tire ruiner.
This had nothing to do with what you think, if you even think at all.

I actually looked at that before posting the above reply. As a rule of thumb I don’t use LSD unless it is 450hp or more; however, I have run into a few cars in GT3 that benefited from having LSD and where below the 450 line. If adjusting the first gear a little more does not help than I think it is just something you will have to live with or sacrifice performance for a higher TCS setting. Frown

I mean lets face it, we are talking about a stage two turbo slapped into a front wheel drive, when it spools up something has got to roast! I am assuming that the tires are burning up when it spools right?

Yeah. It chugs a bit up until about 4000RPM, then it just starts boiling the front tires.
This had nothing to do with what you think, if you even think at all.
