My first GT4 setup. Many values are still at their default; most of my work has been in the gearbox. I'm pretty happy with how it performs! The spring rates, ride height, and damper settings are from roadrunnerx's F1/Nürburgring setup. Despite the overly soft suspension, the car still is a handful on this track presumably due to the light weight.

The 4'52.681 lap I ran surely has room for improvement; below 4'50.000 is definitely possible in GT mode!

Also, I might as well mention that I found the "Miss-hit-miss" right hander to be the toughest on this track in the F1. It just taunts you to take it near flat-out and kills you if you don't do it perfectly :-)

To get the proper gearbox setup, start with the default settings. First change the Auto setting to 2, then change the Final setting to 2.546, then change the rest of the gears from 1st to 7th.

----------------------

[August 08 2005] Ran a new fast lap of 4'51.168! I have updated the brake settings thanks to being proved wrong by Fumes, lowered the TCS, and changed the LSD settings for sharper turn-in and more stable corner exits.

Which corner is the one your talking about? I think I know, but could you spell it out for me. Thanx, Brian

This should clarify things. It's the long, downhill, triple-apex right hander. I find the F1 gets very edgy here!
