Well I am really surprised by the performance of this little MR. The agility it displays is stunning and I could only find two things I would like to have changed about it. First it needs a wing; then again I think every car needs a wing if for no other reason than I just like the look of them. This car though could really benefit from some front downforce. Second the yaw of this car is simply nuts. I tried to keep it as balanced as possible but had to keep it turning in the corners. This setup is the compromise I came up with and as already said it is a stunner to see how this thing performs. If translating from the DFP to DS2 and the understeer is a killer, adjust the front spring down by eight clicks; that should about do it for you.

TCS for launch control.
Engine balance and port polish added.
Setup for the DFP.

Can you use these settings with the regular controler?

The majority of members say that setups done on the DFP and used on the DS2 (regular controller) show understeer. With my setups I try to offer suggestions to lessen the understeer. So yes you should be able to use it and if the understeer is too much follow the suggestion I offered in the comments. If you use this setup let me know how it works out before, and if you make the change I suggested, after. If it still gives you too many problems I can pull the car out and work with it some more. Keep in mind though that without the extra downforce almost all cars will understeer at high speeds (100mph and up).

Nice setup dude. I suck at tuning cars Disgusted now I can win races Big Grin

Only gripe is my RUF ended up with over 540 hp and the front height only went up to 96 so I couldnt set 101.. but still is ok at 96 Thumbs Up

Well first of all let me thank you for the feedback, it is truly appreciated by all of us tuners to see comments left. Good or bad it is the best way for us to tell how we are doing; and in the case of many tuners (especially new ones) it is the primary mechanism for them to know if their setups are wanted or not.

Next I checked out your comment about the 540hp and the max ride height of 96mm. Although I am happy that the setup worked for you I am a bit surprised. What you are describing is the hp and ride height of the 2000 RUF RGT. No offense meant but you may want to go back and take a look at the car you are using.

P.S.: I double checked the above against GT4 before posting this reply and sure enough, the 2000 RUF RGT has a 569hp rating and max ride height of 96mm. Now this is really confusing, theoretically this setup should not work since it is for an MR and the ’00 RGT is an RR. I would have to say that you may “suck at tuning” but you must be a hell of a driver! Nod Wink

Put 10kg of ballast on at -50 right up the front and 2 notches of understeer asm and its a beautiful balance...gives a touch of oversteer but its so so controllable

Yes I'm sitll alive Smile

Good setup, the only thing I changed was the brake balance. I first tryed your setup with a 6/6 bb since I always set my brakes pretty low but even then the car was locking up at the slightest touch of the brake pedal, so I droped the bb back to 3/3.

I'm sereously beginning to wonder if maybe there is a difference in brake stength between the NTSC and PAL version of the game, for me a setting of 12/12 is totaly un driveble.

Greetz and a vote Zeratul.
Fast is on the edge of control.
