Yes I have seen the drawings and I love them. The return of the Camaro would also help out other Chevrolet cars as well.
Ok, here is the deal. The Camaro's and Firebird's were assembled in a plant in Canada. When GM decided to stop production on the vehicles, they shut down the St. Therese assembly plant. Chevrolet said that if they were to put the Camaro back into production that it would be built in Canada. There is only one plant in Canada and right now they assemble the Impala and the Monte Carlo. But how could one plant assemble three different cars that require two different chassis?
Here is the most likely scenario. After an appropriate chassis is found for the camaro, which will most likely be a variant of Cadillac's Sigma platform, the chassis will also be applied to the Impala and Monte Carlo. So now Chevy's sedans are now (drum roll) rear wheel drive. So if Chevy does a good job in building it Dodge and Chrysler will have some stiff competition.
