This setup was tuned with the intent of improving the existing car. As such, everything I did was fairly minor and subtle. If you drive the stock version for a bit, then take my version out, you'll notice a difference. But don't expect a race car, because that wasn't my goal.
For the transmission, I had to make use of a modified "tranny trick" to duplicate the stock 4-speed gearbox (with the addition of an overdrive). Set the final drive ratio to 5.500, then set the auto set to 8, then return the final drive ratio to 3.540. Next, set the individual gears. That should get you there.
The ballast weight is to represent an average-sized driver (if you look at the car, the seats are VERY close to the rear axles).
The car handles well on the N2 tires, but if you put it on sports or race tires, it starts to shine. If I had more time, I'd A-Spec the Nurburgring 24 Hours in this car (using R1 or R2 tires, probably). On S1 tires, it should make for a really fun El Capitan endurance race.
Thanks a lot! The differences between the Shelby and the AC are pretty slight, though I'd wager the Shelby needs a touch softer springs on the rear to retain the same feel as the AC. The extra power might necessitate a tweak to 5th gear, too.
