UPDATED: Greatly improved the braking.

My first tuner post. I finally got this thing where I wanted it to be. Took a lot of patience, but I'm quite happy with it. I did not initially develop at Nurburgring, but just tested it there and was pleasantly surprised. Nitrous added only to be used when you hit 88 mph. Flux capacitor included.

Edit: Months after originally tuning this car, I have started to drive it again in the game. I am even happier with it now then when I finished it. Its fast and predictable.

Current top speed with the tranny settings and the aero drag is 175 mph (without mashing the nitrous). I feel I've done the best I can with the 1980's size rubber. Feedback appreciated.

I've continually updated this setup. It can scrub off speed nicely now. I tinkered for a few more hours on it last night, experimenting whith both wholesale and minor changes and still ended up back with this. I hope you find it an improvement and enjoy it. Feedback GREATLY appreciated!

Haha, Yeah Sub_Lethal, Polyphony didn't see fit to add a Mr. Fusion to the parts upgrades..... just lowly nitrous- not enough for the 1.21 GIGAWATTS of power.

I originally developed this car at Midfield, but my favorite track for it is probably Apricot. It handles great there.

You are my density..... I mean.... my destiny..

They couldn't even put in an easter egg for the car by having a full race mod to make it look like that one infamous delorean, and also make it fill up on bananas and beer cans in the pits. In real life they had a gold plated version, Y didn't polyphony include that? It was the flagship model. I've also seen a brown one on the streets here. I had no idea they didn't have door windows, only a small little "smoking" window just big enough to stick your elbow out of...those cars have better of had AC, or did John Delorean snort up all the funding for that too.

LOL Bananas and beer cans! I still don't get why its listed as a 2004 model. I've only seen one in person. It was a stainless steel one in an O'Charleys parking lot. I had no idea about the smoking windows either until you said so. I just thought those lines on the windows were a design feature, like on that Subaru SVX (or whatever its called).

I have seen promotional photos of that gold plated version, but did they actually produce it? If they did, that was probably the exact moment DeLorean's coke problem went public.

Not sure how many gold ones were produced, but I know there were some available. I've seen that subaru too, I had no idea what it was at first but it looked cool so I went up to it and was all "it's a Subaru? what the hell?" it looked like a probe and stealth got busy with a dash of the 80's.

Yea polyphony saying it's 2004 got me really confused, it's just adding to the rumor that there's going to be a new one or a reissue, which would be awesome but I thought Mr. Delorean was dead...wait wasn't he like just on that Discovery channel special about the muscle cars he designed? I heard from that show he slept in cars at the factory because he was sniffing err staying up late "designing" the GTO. Something way off topic but speaking of reissues, have any of you heard whats up with the new camaro? Like when is it coming, I hate mustangs. Ford had to hire an outside contractor to get their new one designed, they couldn't think that all up by themselves. Which is quite sad.

I gave you a vote, I did enjoy your setup. good brakes man.

Thanks for the vote and support sub_lethal. I've seen DeLorean on some shows too lately. I don't think he's dead, but i certainly thought he was still in jail. With the release of the new GTO he has been on TV quite a bit telling about his role with the original. Probe/Stealth is a good observation.... first generation Eclipse is in there too.

As for the Camaro- Chevy originally intended the SSR to replace the Camaro. Its a boulevard cruiser though, overweight and underpowered (really only because of the weight). The SSR was a cool looking concept car, but they were misguided in thinking that Camaro fans would accept it as a replacement. Pretty much a few years later it is only a pace car for Chevy sponsored events.

Thanks again for the compliments on the setup. Hopefully more people will give it a shot.

The SSR was the replacement? How dare Chevorlet think a mini truck could replace a sports car. Disgusted Whats wrong with them? I know...some of that Arrow Smokin Hopefully they realized their mistake by the sparse sales numbers, I mean I've never seen one other than on the lot or the GM Employee Discount commercial. It seems to me they should get busy designing a horse killer and put it out soon. The Sport car looks are goin downhill on rollerskates, look the charger is now a 4 door Vomit, the GTO looks like a granny sedan unless you buy the pricey sport package plus they completely stole the design from that Aussie company, and Ford wanted the ugliest year mustang to be recreated (y a fastback?). Bad designs are now an international affair, even the new M5 is ugly. If chevy messes this up, I'm gonna be very upset Frown Shed A Tear . I'll just have to stick with my '76 International Scout II and never buy a new late model car ever.

Also who else but a drug addict would want a solid gold car? Maybe a dealer or pimp, but still thats a little to much.

LOL I'm sure DeLorean sees himself as both a drug kingpin AND a pimp. I'm sure he has a nice purple jewled crown on his dashboard. GM barely face lifted the Holden Monaro for the GTO, and it took them two years to add the dual hood scoops as an option. 400 ponies is nice though.

J Mays at Ford seems to have made a design career for "retro" designs. The new GT is a nice throwback, for it really needed no drastic changes. But the Thunderbird???? What a joke that was. And as for the M5, and all the new BMW's, Chris Bangle at BMW has really f'd the designs of my favorite car company. The Z4 being the worst. "Flame surfacing" my ass...... it looks like a BMW with Down Syndrome.

I love your '76 Scout. I have a '97 Wrangler myself. An ex of mine from way back had a Defender 90 imported from Britain. Good stuff

It's all so disapointing, I was even upset over that one ferrari on Top Gear where that older dude was racing the car against other two hosts in a plane and train to switzerland. It's hurts me to see an ugly car I could never afford.

but anyway thanks for the vote on my BMW 330i.

Actually the DeLorean S2 GT4 gives you is a restored DeLorean-12. I believe this DMC is a seperate company from the one John DeLorean started. DeLorean was in jail a short bit but was let go due to him being entrapped by police. Also, he Died March 19, 2005. Wasn't that the PAL release date? Weird.
