Rules of the game.. The GT Monster Battle..
Hey aspen, it's good to see someone is actually reading and replying to my post, lol
The RX-8 is just the first in a line of many.. I've asked my friend's to have at least 2 cars competing in each class. Personally, I'm aiming for around 5 per class but that will take such a long time as I'm not the fastest tuner around and I don't have as much playtime as I'd like. That's why I'm here for help..
Just in case you're interest, I've tried to devise a formula so that most cars in GT can compete without having too much of an advantage over another car. The main factor between each car is the power to weight advantage/disadvantage a car will have against another so this is what I've come up with:
GT300 - Max 300hp Min 900kg N3
GT400 - Max 400hp Min 1150kg S1
GT500 - Max 500hp Min 1250kg S2
GT600 - Max 600hp Min 1350kg S3
GT Monster - Max 900hp Min 1450kg R2
FWD cars are allowed a 100kg or less handicap and 4WD cars are allowed harder compound rears
All modifications are allowed
NOS and Driver Aids are banned
Ballast can be used to bring the car's weight within the restrictions
Also, with this formula I'm hoping some cars will be able to race in other classes
eg. GT300vsGT400, GT400vsGT500, GT500vsGT600 etc..
I haven't done any testing between classes yet so I'm hoping it'll work. I may possibily raise the weight of each class above the GT300 class by another 50kg.
Ultimately, my goal is to have a garage where every car can race against each other, depending on the track of course, and still have a fun tight race. Of course it's impossible to have any car race against another, but I just want to have more than a handfull of cars that are capable or running against one another. Plus, you won't here anymore more of those "you got more power!" or "you're car's lighter!" excuses..
One more thing. I told my friend's to chip in a couple bucks and we'll have a medal or trophy, depending on how many people we can get, made up for the over all winner!..
