I tuned this car because I had a yellow '69 Camaro years ago. It was a 6 cylinder though instead of the muscle Z28. I was very pleased at how easy it was for me to tune this car. I guess you could say it was "tuner friendly". I was able to use this setup for every race I entered, whether it was a set of races using sports tires or racing tires. I was able to win in the Professional League in the "Race of NA Sports" events as well as the "Tuning Car Grand Prix" events. I actually first tuned the car with S3 (soft) sport tires on the front and rear with "no" NA Tune (but with all the other engine and exhaust upgrades which gave the car 360 HP). When I used NA Tune Stage 3 I put R4 (soft) racing tires on the car front and rear. I was happy that the car handled just as well so I did not change the settings. The tirewear on the R4 tires was a little more than I liked so I posted the setup with the R3 (medium) tires. The only real issue I had is that for races that began from a dead standstill, when I gave the car gas, it would sit there and just "burn rubber" (spin the tires for those of you who didn't grow up in the 60's and 70's). That was discouraging, especially while watching the competition just leave me behind. Also, when coming out of a U-turn or sharp corner, if I got on the gas pedal hard, the car had a tendency to want to spin out. So I used the TCS for launch control, and to reduce tire spin out of sharp or U-turns. Anyway, like I said, this setup can be used with "no" NA Tune up to NA Tune Stage 3. I used S3, R3 and R4 tires in the different races I entered. I would suggest using the racing tires with higher horsepower. The Autoset for the transmission is for El Capitan (Reverse) in the "Tuning Car Grand Prix" in the Professional League. This setup is for the DS2 hand controller. I will be getting the Driving Force Pro wheel and pedals soon. When I do I will re-visit this setup to tweak it for the wheel and pedals. Until then, I hope someone else can use these settings. But, if not, they still work for me... happy tuning.
