i tamed the beast!
after a first very disappointing experience with this car i sold it and left it in a corner of my 700 car garage after i won it again in the tvr challenge. a strange experience because i really love both speed 6-es a lot for the looks and the driving.
so a few months later - wiser in tuning thanks to you gtvault lot - i tried again. and it worked. that's so good because the 12 is the monster: 1100+ hp with the supercharger and one massive under- and oversteerer.
to me it is impossible to unuse the aids but if you're good you might try.
i guess directions are alike for all extrasuperhigh powered fr cars: brake before the curve, steer in with a little gas and out of the corner full throttle taking care not to spin the back wheels.
have fun and let me know what you think.
all other tuners - thanks for helping me grow in gt4. i hope i didn't steal settings; overview is blurred by the magnitude.

CLEARLY this set up needs more votes so everyone can avoid wasting their time and go right to this set up. I was tempted to try another first, but instead I tried this one for the first time i drove the car. My first time in the car was a 5 lap race at Suzuka Circuit East Course and, driving quite conservitively, pulled off +/- 50 second laps each time with superhard racing tires... and to think I almost didn't use the blower for fear of unmanageable power... I can't wait to get used to this car. Thanks for saving me the time of dicking around with this car myself.

LSD Settings, Break Balance, Minor Tweaks
Post #2 - Posted 03/15/2006 2:34 AM
I forgot to add, for your missing settings (LSD and Break Balance) I went ahead and went with:
LSD- Initial: 8 Accel: 42 Decel: 14
Break Balance- F:5 B:5
I use this setup with these additional values. Hope this helps with the fine tuning!

Best Setup ever for this brutal car.
I drive very conservative with the Speed 12 and tested very much, for an usebal Setup. And now...here it is.
You got my vote. And the vote of my B-Spec you got, too.
Thanks a lot.

Great set up...I used this set up for beating the Supercar Festival. I did make minor changes since I am using a DS2 controller. First, I was running out of gear on the long straight of Fugi and just set the tranny at 14. I added a bit more brake F:10/R:9 and bumped the TCS to 6 because of the use of Medium Sport Tires. It took me a bit to get use to this monster of a car, but driving it conservately, this thing really totes the mail. You definately got my vote. The more I get use to it, the more this is becoming one of my favorite rides. I just love the way it rotates in a turn when I mash down the gas.

well thank you DD. i imagine driving it on sportstyres would make it need extra tcs because of its monstrous power envelope. but i also drive it using the ds2 ...
enjoy the ride!

This set-up is so nice for the speed 12.... I had a hunch about the Sauber C9 and put the same set up on it. Dude you tamed another beast with this set up.
you got 2 with one!

Oh man. I was using this car for the Supercar Festival, and I could barely keep up with the top car, because my car had horrible handling. I used this, and I won with a 15 seconds gap between me and 2nd place guy.

Cerbera speed 12
Your tune setting is really helpful. I owned most of the races in GT4 using this. Do you think the Cerbera speed 12 could win at the GTWC coz i haven't participated in it because I still don't have my IA license.

What a great set-up! I'm amazed to get such definate steering on such a powerfull RWD car.
I have taken ASM down to zero for both understeer and oversteer and take the brakes up a couple of notches, which I have found suits most tracks.

Fantastic Setup!!!!!
Great Job on the setup for this car! In stock form this car is uglier than homemade sin complete with that ridiculous "Ski Natique" diving platform on the rear. It also handles in stock form worse than it looks.
You have, my friend, indeed tamed this beast. I just used it to win the Supercar Festival. I won each race on the first try, although some races were won by mere seconds. Thanks

Really good setup, had this car more times then I can remember, but always got rid of it due to not getting the handling right, but you hit the sweet spot. The only shame is the ASM, I will try turning them down next. Otherwise it is there to be used.
My vote

to all: thanks for the kind words. the setup and its asm/tcs settings date back quite a while now and it could well be they could be lowered or offed.
