Well, they say that the best drivers don't use ASM or TCS
Post #2 - Posted 03/06/2006 6:10 AM
that's crap, because when you are using nos and you have ASM and TCS off and you start to use nos coming out of a corner, all that will happen will be loads of wheelspin, and you'll loose valuable seconds and not get a fast time. Believe me, using ASM or TCS does help grip and keeping the damn thing on the road Big Grin

If you have to use driver aids then have TSM on and thats all because Anti Spin Mechanism kills the cars natural ability to over-steer and you just get alot of under-steer, trust me it easier to get out of a corner if you have a little over-steer, but its like trying to iceskate uphill going into and then around a corner with under-steer! Find a formula one driver that isn't using these electronic controls and I will eat my hat.

What ever makes you go the fastest, makes you the best driver, regardless of your preference in using ASM and TCS. Wink Thumbs Up

It should be driver skill not electronics that win races dont get me wrong if it were safty oriantated then fine but not to make you faster and as for gettin off the line in first it cant be that hard as F1 drivers manage because they stopped using launch control why do you think there tyres smoke when they start?!?!?!?!?!?!?
