Hello LordPhoenix
I know what you mean
I changed my mind (therefore my setups philosophy and driving) since I started to post in Vault.
If you check my first setups on this site, you will notice I was using a lot of ASM to avoid understeering getting out of the curves. Than the whole setup was designed considering this aim.
I moved to the generation of setups I'm now posting through a quite long process of experiments and testings. therefore the use of a very few ASM is not a preconceived idea result but a consequence of free experiments out of dogma and gives me a real benefit in terms of laptimes.
Of course this is relevant considering my driving - I am quicker without understeering getting in and off the curves than with a quite neutral car, slightly oversteering when exiting - and also using a DS2.
A DFP would also helps... but get no !
Maybe with that kind of device i would find ASM unusefull.
I got no mental barrier to the use of electronic aids. Every performing cars - F1, WRC's, GT's on the road or on the tracks - are today using A LOT of electronics to be as performing they currently are.
One thing I'm sure of is that ASM off makes me loosing so much tenths, I turn it on the next lap !
Can you beat this lap time ?
Very last thing, I drive a racing gokart for hobby (and driven performing bikes for years) I allways noticed the driver skill is what counts the most
Enjoy GT4 and thanks to care my job !
