1. this setup is for Bob on the 24 hour race with the speed set to 4 and overtake.
2. I performed an oil change.
3. I also did the tranny trick.
4. tire wear is perfectly even front and rear;you wil get 8 laps out the R/H tires I did'nt feel the need to use the super hards because u will run out of fuel before you need to change tires .
5. average lap times are between low 3'13xxx and high 3'11xxx.
6. i suggest making sure u have the Minolta Toyota and the Sauber Mercedes in the race with you to keep things interesting.
7. also try and refrain from getting the stage 4 turbo because you will completely
destroy the competition.
8. oh yeah, this is a DS2 setup,(thats how i got my fastest) forgot to say that.

DS2 IS THE CONTROLLER THAT COMES WITH YOUR PS2, AND TRANNY TRICK IS DONE BY ENTERING THE TUNING SCREEN AND GOING TO THE PART WHERE YOU TUNE YOUR TRANSMISSION, SETTING THE GEARS TO DEFAULT THEN MOVING THE THE FINAL GEAR SLIDER ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT THEN MOVE TO THE AUTO GEAR AND MOVING IT ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT AND THEN ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT. HAVING DONE THAT NOW ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS ADJUST THE FINAL GEAR RATIO. AND YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE MAX ACCELERATION.

I am interested in tuning this car. I have a decent tune for El Capitan, with similar HP as you. I will try your tune out on Sarthe and give you some feedback. Please do the same with my tune if you will. Big Grin

Interesting that you took care of the understeering qualities/characteristics of this car with rear toe. I wanted to stay away from any toe at all for my first tune on this car. I will try and check this out soon.

just wanted to say that this setup is awesome. i am currently using it to teach bob how to drive Le Sarthe in preperation for the 24hr. running free runs lets bob learn the circuit for many laps while the tyres keep there consistency. although he sometimes finds the gravel on the exit of the first chicane on the muslanne, he is fast. he seems more than comfortable on pace 4.

edit: i entered him in the GT World Championship Le Sarthe round (in the Professional Event), the 4 lap sprint. he was up against a minolta toyota and the new nissan LMP1 cars. he was up to third within a lap running 2 secs behind the lead cars. However, the tyres were consistant and he made it count when the toyota and nissan spun going into Indianapolis and the 4th lap. they both pitted and finished last!

i might enter him in the same event against a R8 or a Speed 8, see how he gets on...

Just used it for the 24hr Circuit de la Sarthe II, Bob crashed occasionally on the big straight for no particular reason, but still put 7 laps on the 2nd place car!

Just finished the Circuit de la Sarthe II 24hr race using this setup and heres the results:

Stage 4 turbo equipped, Pace 3, overtake on, average 7 laps between pits, full B-spec, didn't touch controller for 21 hours (4 sec wait while pitting), best lap time: 3'08"352, occasionally crashes on the long straight.

1. Pescarolo C60/Judd race car - 436 laps
2. Sauber Mercedes C9 race car - +13 laps
3. Nissan R92 CP race car - +15 laps
4. Nissan R89C race car - +19 laps
5. Peugeot 905 race car - +20 laps
6. Ford GT40 race car - +91 laps
