This setup was initially devised to defeat the Cobra at the Nurburgring in the Europe Classic Car League, and later revised with greater ride height, softer shocks and slightly stiffer springs to eliminate any necessity to lift at Flugplatz, Schwedenkreuz, Fuchsrohre, or Angst Kurve. This early Lotus should also be competitive at the World Classics and even Pan Euro Events.
