This set-up is mainly for completing the 5 Shelby manufacture races with a reasonable amount of points and a reasonable challenge, but the car will also handle very well for other races, too. If you use the same basic settings for all Shelby races, the easiest is HSR and the more difficult ones are NY and Laguna Seca, but all of them can be won with more points. Laguna's points will be lower than the rest; I came close but never won at 128 points, for example, and I won a couple of the easier tracks at 170 & 200, but the rest remain at 109 points (power 361/392 HP, oil change, stiffening, engine balancing and the wing.)

Because the tracks vary enough, you will want to change the Auto setting to match the tracks: Trial Mtn = 6; Seattle & Laguna Seca = 7; High Speed Ring & NY = 8. Gears at HSR will top out with these settings, so you can fiddle with them, if you wish. While I was able to win all races with the original and the close ratio transmission, too, you will probably want the racing version, to eliminate hitting the rev limiter. The original gear ratios are just too long for these tracks and the HP used.

For the standing start races, you can use 2nd gear to get rolling without tire spin.

Tire grip is good enough with the Sport Mediums, but the front tires wear first. Most of the understeer is gone (camber, weight shift and wing) and you can get some power oversteer, for NY, in first gear. For example, at Infineon, there is very good grip on the hairpins and throughout most of the high speed curves. You may want to try the car without the wing, as well. Throttle-control is needed in a few places, such as at the Corkscrew, but most of the races were WOT.

The AI need dune buggies at Laguna Seca, so you can pass the lead car at the second last turn, while it is recovering. Brake early at NY, so that you don't slam into the wall the way the AI do.

The silver car looks very nice with some black wheels, too.
Too bad this car seems to be ignored more than used.
