The goal with this setup is to simulate as close as possible what would have been done to this car in the 60's taking a GTO from stock to race as If I just bought this thing brand new and started modifying it for more speed at my local Drag Strip. This is a work in progress so please excuse my slow times as I am still tuning it and trying to pin down a good launch RPM and work on my reaction time. Just like in real life!
For the transmission I copied some ratios available for a M20 Muncie 4-Speed Trans which is similar if not exactly what would have come in this car stock. When racing this I don't use 5th or 6th as these gears wouldn't have been available or really necessary. Also note the Final Ratio of 4.10 which is a common gear swap for the ring/pinion as would have been done to give it better acceleration.
I setup the suspension as close as I could to what a setup might be with 90/10 drag shocks making sure the fronts don't compress and allowing the front end to rise for weight transfer to the rear tires. This is also why I have kind of a funky ride height again trying to maximize the weight transfer to the rear.
I have been holding RPM at 3000 and giving moderate transition into wide open throttle. I used to think my times are ok for a car with 413hp 532.2 ft. lb torque but after converting the weight of car from kg to lbs. (1292kg or 2848lbs) this thing should be doing way better than it is maybe its the driver!
Why the heck can I buy a chip for this thing? there is nothing close to a computer in this thing!
If anyone has some tips I would appreciate it but please keep in my my goals with this car.

BROKE INTO THE 11'S Unibrow added port and polish new HP of 418 changed gearing to a rock crusher M22 muncie ratios took out the stabilizer on the front turned it down to 1 and changed the exhaust back to stock it just sounds better! and new best time of 11.868 its pretty tough to be consistent holding RPM at the line is tough due to using a controller.
