OK, working on SUzuka as I write this.
Setup is almost ready, a few issues to de-bug but looking good.

Suzuka (Round 15)
Updated 03/07/2010 9:38 AM Post a reply Quote this post View StigsTibecuadorianco's info
For a long time I have been troubled by this event, with unsatisfactory wins of only 30 seconds which don't seem like enough on the back of crushing 1 lap wins, almost 2 lap wins and the 2 minute win at the Nurburgring. Suzuka is almost as challenging to tune a B-spec FGT for as the nurburgring, the balence between cornering ability in T1 against the straight speed in T2 and tire wear benefits and many other issues. But as a whole a race track where neglect of your B-spec driver will surely see you lose.
The setup I eventually used was similar in some areas yet oddly different in others:

Suspension:
15.0/14.6
53/53
5/6
6/7
1.0/0.5
0/-1

Gears:
Auto set 14

Brake Balence:
4/2 (in theory it should go 2/4, but it got stuck that way in a test, so I left it...)

Downforce:
67/95

AIDS
0/0/6 (TCS 6)

LSD:
25/30/15

Ballast Balence:
+50

Changes in all departments except the LSD, and previous configurations for Brake Balence, Aids and Ballast Ballence, but overall a very good tune.
The race had a few issues, the first was B-spec ability to make my blood pressure rise beyond belief, by being very stupid trying to overtake and by creating a wierd glitch worth at least 1 second a lap.
This strategy sees B-spec's speed 4 option used most of the time. Speed 3 is required for the downhill right, right combinatoin before you go under the bridge and into T2, as the FGT all try to spear off the road here. The second location is at the chicane after the 130R corner, as B-spec and the AI don't know how to tackle a chicance at all.
Lap 0 - Speed 4 and overtake on.
I had to stay in the car and overtake live with B-spec, you cannot really overtake until T2 (except for a massive slipstream on the front straight). T2 offers oportunitis where you can push cars out of the way at the hairpin after the bridge, get a good slipstream and overtake before the entrance to spoon curve, or get a great slipstream down the back straight before or after 130R and potentially into the chicane if B-spec realises that the AI are driving way to slow.
Lap 2 - B-spec set the trend with a 1’40.192 - faster than Any AI would drive all day
lap 5 - Into 2nd position
Pit lap 7 (+2.2 on pit in)

Lap 7 no fuel
Lap 14 - Took the lead on the run to spoon curve, best lap in stint - 1’40.912

Lap 14 fill to 32 (-1.7 on pit in)
Lap 16 – 1’39.954
Lap 18 – 1’38.645 - what would remain the fastest lap of the race
Lap 19 – 1’39.042
Lap 20 – 1’39.803

Lap 21 – Fill to 32 (-19.6 on pit in) (1’43 as in lap - 2 seconds faster than AI)
Lap 22 - 2’07.9 (out lap) nearly 3 seconds faster than AI
Lap 26 – 1’39.765
Lap 23 – 28 (a weird glitch developed where B-spec glides rather than accelerates after esses on long left turn… worth nearly 1 second. Cannot explain why as of now)
Over the next stint I decided to analyze it

Lap 28 – Fill to 32 (-30.0 on pit in) (1’43.5 as in lap)
Lap 29 (2’07.4 as out lap)
Lap 30 – Same glitch - 1’40.3xx
Lap 31 – No glitch - 1’39.019
Lap 32 – Half glitch - 1’39.8 (not as severe as original glitches)
Lap 33 – Full glitch - 1’40.2
Lap 34 – Full glitch - 1’40.6
Lap 35 – Full glitch - 1’43.3 on in lap (doesn't effect in lap, A Little Slow )

Lap 35 - Fill to 32 (-43.4 on pit in)
Lap 36 – Unknown – 2’08.7 (good chance of glitch)
Lap 37 – Half – 1’40.1
Lap 38 – Half – 1’39.9
Lap 39 – Mini – 1’39.9 (smallest glitch that occured)
Lap 40 – NONE –1’39.9 (small off at exit chicane – affects next lap aswell)
Lap 41 – None – 1’40.7 (small off before T2 start)
Lap 42 – None – 1’43.4 (Pit in lap)

Lap 42 - Fill to 32 (-52.9on pit in)
Lap 43 - Half – 2’08.8
Lap 44 - None – 1’39.6
Lap 45 - None – 1’39.7
Lap 46 - None – 1’39.6 (went off before T2 start)
Lap 47 - None – 1’40.7 (massive off before T2 start)
Lap 48 - None – 1’41.0 (pit in lap - V. quick)

Lap 48 - Fill to 28 (-1’08 on pit in)
Lap 49 – None – 2’08.0
Lap 49 – Half – 1’40.0 (lap 6th place while in pits)
Lap 51 – None – 1’40.5 (went off before start T2)
Lap 52 – None – 1’41.1 – entered dirty air of 5th place
Lap 53 – None – 1’40.1 – lapped 5th place car – held up most of lap

Total Time – 1:32’26.674

Mov – well over 1’10 (1’10 – 1’20)
5th + 6th – 1 lap!!
Ideally the pitstops would have been taken on 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 41, 47, 53, where 32 units of fuel would be taken for pitstops on lap 14, 21 and 28, while pitstops on lap 35, 41 and 47 would take 28 units of fuel, and lap 53 is the end of the race.

In the end, what could have been a comfortable 1 lap win turned out to be a somewhat frustrating win by well over 1 minute, to finally see you through the entire FGT series, with a complete B-spec shedule, using a car that can win all races starting from 6th place. Not a bad achievement.
In the near future I will run all 15 races as a series, using one brand new car from start to end, rather than the 28,000km FGT I have now, the first time starting from 6th, the second time I'll use another car and start from 1st after qualifying. This will be shown as a single post with Race, Total Time, Mov and Best Lap (and start position as title). Finally I shall tackle all 15 FGT races for 200 A-spec by any means required in my Pescarolo C60.
Its been a great challenge and great fun trying to create a full schedule B-spec guide, and I hope many of you can benefit from it as much as I have.

Tokyo R246 redux (round 1)
Updated 04/01/2010 9:22 PM Post a reply Quote this post View StigsTibecuadorianco's info
As was completely inevitable, I am going back over some of the tunes/strategies I believe I had more time to gain on. Due to the fact that in the orginal I used both speed 3 and speed 4, I thought that I may have had time to gain in strategy, and potentially in setup as it was the very first of the FGT tunes I made.
AS a result, I have come up with the following setup, which borrows from the original:
Suspension:
15.2/15.0
55/55
4/5
6/7
1.0/0.5
0/-1 (different)

Gears:
Auto set 14 (from a default gearbox)

Brakes 2/4 (different)

LSD: 10/35/25

Downforce:
65/90 (different)

TCS - 6 (asm - 0) different

Ballast balence (0) different

This was combined with a new strategy, where you put B-spec on speed 4 at the very start (with overtake) and let him have a go at the AI. I logged the race with significant details and for my own data analysis when B-spec went under 1'19:
Lap 0 - Speed 4 (overtake)....(6th)
Lap 1 - up to 3rd place
Lap 4 - B-spec takes the lead before startline (overtake is switched OFF)
Lap 5 1’18.161
Lap 6 1’18.195
Lap 10 - PIT (NO FUEL)
Depending on your B-spec, you may have to stop B-spec from pitting, and force the extra lap
Pit out: (- 12.8 seconds to 2nd place)

Lap 14 – 1’18.701
Lap 15 – 1’18.648
Lap 16 – 1’18.733
Lap 17 – 1’18.376
Lap 18 – 1’18.787
Lap 20 - PIT, FILL TO 37 units of fuel
You may have to call B-spec in to actually make him pit in on lap 20, rather than 21.
Pit out: (- 31.0 seconds to 2nd place)

Lap 24 – 1’18.921
Lap 25 – 1’18.519
Lap 26 – 1’17.616
Lap 27 – 1’18.495
Lap 28 – 1’18.801
Lap 29 - (6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd – 1 lap as they exit pits)
Lap 30 - stuck behind 2nd place and trying to lap, unsuccesful.
Lap 30 - PIT (FILL TO 37 units of fuel)
Pit out: (- 46.9 seconds to 2nd place)

Lap 33 – 1’18.683
Lap 34 – 1’18.191
Lap 35 – 1’18.774
Lap 36 – 1’18.814
Lap 37 – 1’19… (everyone – 1 lap after they pit)
Lap 38 – 1’18.669
Lap 39 – 1’18.962
Lap 40 - PIT (FILL TO 37)
Pit out: (- 1'02.6 to 2nd place)

Lap 43 – 1’18.484
Lap 44 – 1’18.700
Lap 46 (everyone – 1 lap again)
Lap 47 – 1’18.397
Lap 48 – 1’18.918
Lap 50 - PIT (FILL TO 37)
Pit out: (- 1’18.2 to 2nd, everyone else – 1 lap)

Lap 54 – (-1 lap to all - lapped 2nd place on track)
Lap 55 – 1’18.543
Lap 56 – 1’18.612
Lap 58 – 1’18.246
Lap 60 – WIN

Total time 1:22’20.535
Margin of Victory: - 1 lap + 50 seconds
Best Lap: 1’17.616
In summary, a comprehensive win for the first round of the FGT, a full minute faster than the first tune, and a massive 4 tenths faster on a 1 lap basis, and is regularly in the mid 1'18.x's, rather than low 1'19.x's.
That is how you win round 1 in B-spec,

Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway Redux (Round2)
Updated 04/01/2010 11:34 PM Post a reply Quote this post View StigsTibecuadorianco's info
After seeing BTWhite37's effort for this race (which is A-spec) and saw that he could go 22 laps for a stint, I was puzzled as to why, until I realised B-spec was being prompted to pit because only 1 tire was worn, the front left tire, which does the least work, if none. I then came up with a very stupid idea that couldn't possibly work, which lead to 1 minute being taken out of the total race time.
I used effectively the same setup as the original; just a few minor changes, but the strategy is the key.
Suspension:
15.2/15.0
55/55
4/5
6/7
1.0/0.5
0/-1
Gears - Auto set: 15
TCS: 5
Brakes: 2/4
Down Foorce: 65/90

The strategy to use is as follows:
Speed 4
Lap 18 - No fuel
Lap 36 - Fill to 35
Lap 54 - Fill to 35
Lap 72 - Fill to 35
Lap 90 - Fill to 35
Lap 108 - Fill to 40
Lap 127 Finish
The trick in this race, is to IGNORE the call to pit, and instead put B-spec speed 5 when the "P" (pit indicator) becomes yellow, and then reject the call to pit, by pushing 'circle' and the P should go grey again. You have to keep telling B-spec to stop pitting until the lap you wish to bring him in (see above). This means you do only 6 pitstops, instead of the 11 stops the AI do, and the 9 stops that were taken in version 1.
This and the setup changes mean you take nearly 1.5 minutes out of the race time, and sees you win by 4-5 laps.
Total time - 1:02’00.772
Margin of Victory - 4 laps (5 laps to everyone except 2nd)
Best lap – 0’27.022
Enjoy another sucessful redux!

New York Redux (Round 3)
Updated 03/19/2010 6:41 AM Post a reply Quote this post View StigsTibecuadorianco's info
Yep, another round of the FGT I didn't think I got right the first time, with comments like "you are constantly losing speed" I am very confident that I could make improvements.
As with the glitch at Seuol central, B-spec is too 'polite' *COUGH STUPID* to follow another car aggressiveley into the hairpin at turn 1. And just bleeds time everywhere trying to follow another car, even the AI have this problem, as the 1st AI car is about 40 seconds ahead of 5th place.
The main change in this round is the strategy, using the reverse window technique and keeping B-spec on speed 4:
Speed 4 – at all times - no messing around
Lap 0 (6th place)
Lap 4 - Enter pits (from 3rd) (NO FUEL, only tires)
Lap 5 - Re-join the race in 6th.
Lap 11 - (take lead of race) (you need to be within 25 seconds of 1st place to take the lead)
Lap 14 – Pit - NO FUEL (– 8.5 seconds) Best Lap – 1’18.535
Lap 15 - Re-join in 5th
Lap 21 – Re-take lead (-7.8 seconds)
(1’18.284)
Lap 24 – Pit - Fill to 30 (-15.0 seconds) Best Lap 1’18.284
Lap 25 - Re-join 3rd - (+7.9 seconds)
Lap 31 – Re take lead (-19.2 seconds)
(1’18.436)
Lap 34 – Pit - Fill to 31 (-29.2 seconds) Best Lap 1’18.284
Lap 35 - Re-join in lead (-4.8 seconds)
(1’18.447)
Lap 44 – Pit - Fill to 31 (-50.5 seconds) Best Lap 1’18.284
Lap 45 - Remain in the lead (-25.2 seconds)
(1’18.369)
Lap 54 – Pit - Fill to 31 (-58.0 seconds) Best Lap 1’18.284
Lap 55 - Remain in lead (32.6 seconds)
(1’18.395)
Lap 62 - (4t, 5th, 6th, - 1 lap)
Lap 64 – Pit - Fill to 31 (-1’11.6 seconds) Best Lap 1’18.284
Lap 65 - Remain in lead (44.6 seconds)
(1’19.194) - stuck in traffic, as always...
Lap 72 - (3rd – 1 lap)
Lap 74 - WIN
Total time – 1:41’57.163
Margin of Victory - 1’17.625
Best Lap - 1’18.284 (- 1 lap to everyone else)

The setup used also is based off the original, however excessive use of curbs upsets the car, and the long straights need a low downforce configuration.

Suspension
12.0/13.6
60/60
2/6
2/7
1.0/0.5
0/-1

Gears
Auto set - 14

Downforce
60/85

Brakes
2/4 (this shouldn't be this way, but the best test had it...)

TCS - 5, Weight Balence 0, LSD - 10/35/25

The front suspension is very soft as B-spec launches over the curbs, and gerneally runs wide and loses time. By making it soft the launch is reduced, and grip is increased.
Another big win in the FGT!

The FGT in Review...
Updated 05/24/2010 9:09 AM Post a reply Quote this post View StigsTibecuadorianco's info
Here is, the final and complete version of the FGT.
With a brand new car, I started the championship and ran the whole thing to prove that all 15 races could be won from 6th on the grid. I was using the green and yellow FGT, used all my setups and strategies, and I've only listed Total time, Margin of Victory and Best Lap, along with a few notes when needed. Seuol Central saw me differ from the strategy in my actual post, so that is a full race synopsis.
Enjoy, StigsTC.

1. Tokyo R246
Total time: 1:22’14.460
Best Lap: 1’17.714 (1’17.758 & 1’17.784)
MoV: 1 lap and 52 seconds
Points - (10,6,4,3,2,1)

2. Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway
Total time: 1:02.07.456
Best Lap: 0’27.172
MoV: 4.5 laps
(20, 8, 8, 8, 4, 4)

3. New York
Total Time: 1:42’30.918
Best Lap: 1’18.292
MoV: 0’45.5
B-spec’s IQ dropped to about 30 and was unable to drive, overtake or do anything competently, meaning the brilliant pitstop strategy was unable to be followed with as great effect – resulting in 50 laps of follow the equally stupid leader… great.
The qualifying on pole test is going to be an absolute dream…
(30, 14, 11, 9, 8, 6)

4. High Speed Ring
Total Time: 1’17:13.239
Best Lap: 0’55.211
MoV: 1.5 laps
(40, 17, 16, 11, 10, 10)

5. Grand Valley Speedway
Total Time: 1:40’40.956
Best Lap: 1’31.280
MoV: 1 lap + 61 seconds.
(50, 20, 19, 17, 13, 11)

6. Circuit de La Sarthe
Total Time: 1:19’07.176
Best Lap: 3’14.157
MoV: 1’37.445
(60, 22, 21, 20, 19, 14)

7. Cote d’ Azur
Total Time: 1:49’42.468
Best Lap: 1’19.788
MoV: 1 lap + 15 seconds
(70, 28, 25, 22, 22, 15)

8. Seuol Central
Total Time: 1:32’38.330
Best Lap: 0’46.022
MoV: 1 lap…. LOL
(80, 32, 28, 28, 23, 17)
I differed from the strategy, and using live overtaking and B-spec’s speed 5 setting I got into 4th place before the end of the first lap. (speed 3 afterward)
I ran a reverse window to get out of the madness…
11, 28, 45, 62, 79, 96, 113.
After Stop 1 – 4th. 3rd had a crash – took 3rd on road.
Speed 4 after pitstop (speed 3 after 2 laps)
After Stop 2 – 3rd.
Speed 4 after pitstop (speed 3 after 2 laps)
Catch 2nd place and overtake while it has cold tires.
After Stop 3 – 2nd
Speed 5 after pitstop (speed 4 after you've made up enough time)
Catch 1st place and overtake while it has colder tires
Speed 4 until 3 second gap achieved. Then speed 3
Best lap to this point – 0’46.022
Lap 62 – speed 4. (Then pit)
After Stop 4 – 1st
Speed 4 until 10 second lead, speed 3 afterward.
Lap 79 Speed 4 (then pit)
Speed 4 until 20 second lead (or blocked by back-markers)
Repeat – Put 1 Lap on 5th on the road in last stint
2nd, 3rd, 4th ALL pit on lap 112 – you go past all of them on lap 113 to win by a LAP!!!

9. Infineon Raceway Sports Car Course.
Total Time: 1:39’56.964
Best Lap: 1’13.889
MoV: 1 lap + 1 minute (2 laps to 6th)
(90, 38, 32, 31, 25, 18) - Speed 4 option used (see post)

10. Laguna Seca
Total Time: 1:47’34.224
Best Lap: 1’11.717 (speed 3) 1’09.751 (speed 4)
MoV: 1 lap + 50 seconds (nearly 2 laps)
(100, 42, 35, 32, 31, 20)

11. Twin Ring Motegi Road Course
Total Time: 1:41’43.452
Best Lap: 1’30.361
MoV: 1 lap + 10 seconds
(110, 48, 39, 35, 33, 21)

12. Nurburgring Nordschliefe
Total Time: 1:31’21.791
Best Lap: 5’50.833 (speed 3 - out_lap) (5’41.803 – speed 4 – lap 15/15)
MoV: 2’16.782
(120, 49, 43, 38, 35, 27)

13. El Capitan
Total Time: 1:33’57.667
Best Lap: 1’21.863
MoV: 1 lap +50 seconds
(130, 55, 47, 41, 37, 28)
B-spec lead before T1 – Omg, beautiful 3 seconds by lap 1…

14. Fuji Speedway 2005
Total Time: 1:38’43.299
Best Lap: 1’23.399 (speed 4) 1’22.123
MoV: 1 lap + 11 seconds
(140, 61, 50, 45, 38, 30)

15. Suzuka
Total Time: 1:32’08.219
Best Lap: 1’38.645
MoV: 1 lap + 2 seconds (lapped 2nd on last lap)
(150, 63, 54, 46, 44, 33)

At the end of 15 long races, my FGT had some new figures:
4568.1 km driven
Sell value of $1,462,499 (you can use it to go win another FGT)
Still 892hp and 392 Nm of Torque.

Have fun,
StigsTC

Welcome to the big one, the most famed and toughest track ever built, the Nόrburgring Nordschleife. What makes the track so hard? 20.75km of never ending corners, severe elevation changes, bumps, aggressive curbs and to top ot off, you have to do it 15 times. A stock FGT cannot win this race with B-spec bob. B-spec cannot use speed 4 around the track in a stock car, he runs wide and spins, has the nurburgring version of the wall-slam glitch, and the tires are dead half way around the 2nd lap. Many A-spec setups cannot get B-spec over the line. It is potentially the toughest race in the FGT series. Until of course you tune the car very well. Even at a maximum ride height, the FGT grinds over the bumps and is easily unsettled, but luckily the B-spec drivers seem to handle this a lot better than us mere humans. Anyway, the most challenging and my favourite race takes place on this grueling track, and after a few hours I managed to create the setup below.

Suspension
11.4/11.5
65/65
6/5
7/6
1.0/0.7
0/-1

Brakes:
3/4

Downforce:
65/105

LSD:
15/40/30

Gears
(stock) - auto set 16
final ratio 4.212
(just use the default button when choosing gear ratios)

Balence:
-50

Aids
0/0/3 (Tcs 3)

I had intended to tune the gears for perfect use of B-spec, the results were too good for me to have to. The LSD could have been worked on further, but the rear tire wear was much better than anticipated. The front tire wear however was a lot worse than I had thought, but it holds up FAR better than the AI cars, and takes 15 seconds out of the AI on the pit it lap, becasue the tires are in much better condition than the AI tires. Otherwise its 5 seconds a lap quicker than the AI. Which, around this track doesn't seem that much, however its enough to do the job.
In order to make the strategy work, you need a bit of luck... well, its really just how long it takes you to get in the lead. I did not have any issues with B-spec crashing or going off the road, but the AI cars do and they can effect your race if the rejoin or crash infront of you. However you can get past unscathed if B-spec is lucky. By the end of the second lap you are much faster than the AI, and should be in 1st place by the first pitstop. Then just follow the strategy and watch B-spec win the toughest FGT race in style:

Lap 0 start...... (speed 3)
Lap 2 NO FUEL
Lap 4 FILL to 32
Lap 6 Fill to 32
Lap 8 Fill to 32
Lap 10 Fill to 32
Lap 12 Fill to 32
Lap 14 Fill to 18
Lap 15 WIN

The total time taken for the race was:
1:31’15.371
With a fastest lap of:
5’49.704 (6 seconds faster than ANY AI car)
Resulting in a victroy by:
2’13.479

On most other tracks, winning by 2 minutes would mean that you have easily won by over a lap, but its a real measure of how much better the FGT can be made when you tune it, and how easy A-spec points can be with equally matched cars, its just about how you tune them.

Now that you've got the biggest issue out of your way, you only have 3 rounds before you can finish the FGT, in all likelyhood with 15 gold trophies, 4.5 million credits and a Sauber Mercedes C 9 Race Car. Enjoy!

For the fun,I let my 2000pts BOB run this Race on pace 5 a few laps

He did quiet well but touched the grass 2 times in 1st and 3rd lap.

My suspension and gearsettings were a bit different to yours.

After 6 laps he was 50secs ahead and his best laptime was a 5’43.588.

Something I've noticed at the ring is that running softer suspension settings or a higher ride height mean B-spec is able to run speed 4 and 5 quite easily, but over the 2 laps losses time on the 'pit in' lap as they wear the tires out faster. Regardless I'd expcet a speed 5 lap to be faster, but once again at the Nurburgring you've come out ahead...
What was your total time for the race? Maybe I have to start running a speed 4 option...

Yesterday I let go BOB again but this time the entire race.

His Total Time was 1:31’02.Fastest Lap was 5’44 and the MoV was over 2mins.

A few months ago I wanted to do the 24hr Nurb A-Spec but after 7hrs I lost concentration and let BOB drive the rest of the Race.

He won this Race in a stock Audi A4 Touring Car.The lead after the 7 hrs was about 5 minutes.

I would like to...
Nah, lets change it up a little:
YAY!!
Thank you so much for recognising the effort put in and for voting, I am so excited to see a '9' next to the votes column, and I really can't wait until vote 10 (if only you could vote on your own tunes...), and I really hope this is as much help to Gtvault tuners struggling with the FGT as it was for me, not only because I got all the races done by considerable margins, but because I learned that with the FGT you can make so much time on the standard setup, exemplifying the fact that A-spec points are actually quite achievable, especially when you tune the cars right!
Thanks again “adeadsnipermatt”!

Having trouble with getting on pole? Tokyo R246 A-spec for Qualifying
Posted 06/12/2010 4:41 AM Post a reply Quote this post View StigsTibecuadorianco's info
This is the setup I used to post a massive 1'12.001 at Tokyo R246:
Brake Balence:
5/4
Suspension:
15.2/15.0
50/50
4/5
6/7
2.0/2.0
0/0
Gears:
Auto - 16
2nd - 5.378 (largest number)
AIDS:
0/0/5 (5 TCS)
Downforce:
63/105
LSD:
10/35/25
Ballast Balence:
-50

With the B-spec setup, the flat out 7th gear corners resulted in the rear stepping out and causeing a spin depending on entry and exit, however with this setup, you can drive the car flat out to obtain the laptimes you want.
(This lap was done in free practice - absolutely TRILLED with that lap)
Enjoy Pole Position for race 1!

Twin Ring Motegi SS A-spec Qualifying setup
Posted 06/12/2010 7:14 AM Post a reply Quote this post View StigsTibecuadorianco's info
With the help of a slipstream I was able to produce a 0'25.502, although there were several laps where I was going much faster but either ran into traffic or a barrier...
Brake Balence:
5/4
Suspension:
15.2/15.0
45/45
4/5
6/7
2.0/2.0
0/0
Gears:
Auto set 19 (Max speed about 350km/h, 385 in a slipstream
AIDS:
0/0/5 (5 TCS)
Downforce:
60/105
LSD:
10/35/25
Ballast Balence:
-50
Without a slipstream I was able to do a 0'25.948, however when the tires are cold you must back off slightly for the tighter corner, however when they come up to temp you can take it at flat out. The tires are good for about 23.25 laps, and on the 24th lap you will have a catastrophic spin due to the tires being worn out, or due the AI deciding you don't exist and driving through you. Otherwise you can A-spec this a destroy the AI - but its so easy it is boring.

New York Qualifying Setup
Posted 06/12/2010 8:43 AM Post a reply Quote this post View StigsTibecuadorianco's info
The New York setup is something that comes down to driver preference; I prefer to attack the curbs and be aggresive, however the curbs at New York in an FGT are a bad combo. So, in order to be fast, you need to stay off the curbs, but get as close as possible to them - very stupid, annoying and impossible, but VERY fast. I was able to post a 1'11.976.
Brakes:
5/4
Suspension:
14.2/14.0
50/50
5/6
6/7
2.0/1.5
0/0
Gears:
Auto Set - 17
AIDS:
0/0/5 (5 TCS)
Downforce:
75/105
LSD:
10/35/25
Ballast Balence:
-50

This lap was done in free practice, and was as close to the perfect lap as possible. The hairpins are a place to lose big time, however hitting the curbs, getting air or sliding will cost you heaps of time, as most corners lead onto long straights. The tight hairpin followed by teh right-left combo is very hard to get right, do so and you'll make about 8 tenths, meanwhile a clean exit off the last corner will give you about 6 tenths on the AI.
Enjoy another easy Pole.
