The challenge here will consist of 4 rally super special stages. The times of ALL 4 stages will be added together to give the eventual winner. If no times are submittedby a participant, the time given is derived from the winner's time PLUS 30 seconds added to that time.

The cars able to be used are that of modern rally, which I deemed to be 1995 to now. However, to allow for a greater variety of cars and to remain competitive, I have limited this field to:
1995.....Toyota……….Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car (ST205)
1997….Mitsubishi…....Lancer Evo IV Rally Car
1998….Toyota……….Corolla Rally Car
1998….Ford………….Escort Rally Car
1999….Peugeot…….. 206 Rally Car
1999….Ford………….Focus Rally Car
1999….Subaru……….Impreza Rally Car
1999….Mitsubishi…..Lancer Evo VI Rally Car
1999….Citroen……….Xsara Rally Car
2001….Hyundai……...Accent Rally Car
2001….Subaru……….Impreza Rally Car PROTOTYPE
2001….Subaru……….Impreza Rally Car

You may use ANY of these cars on ANY stage; the only condition is that you can only use these cars WITH THE PARTS THEY COME WITH. (Or as follows) This means that THERE ARE NO TURBO UPGRADES, NO NOS, ONLY SUPER HARD TIRES (or dirt tires), etc. THE ONLY THINGS YOU CAN BUY FOR YOUR CAR ARE IN GT AUTO (Car Wash, Oil Change, etc) OR THE RIGIDITY OPTIONS, (Rigidity INCREASE or rigidity refresh). If it is not standard you may also buy a VCD controller, but I think that is stock on most cars anyway. (If it isn't please let me know.) You may customize these parts (change the numbers) of anything that is on the car, i.e., suspension, LSD, down force, etc. You MAY NOT use any computer aids (ASM or TCS) - these should be set to 0.
Also please submit a tune for each stage you run, so that you times can be verified and people can vote for your tune and acknowledge your efforts. It is COMPULSORY to post a tune for the top 3 placed tuners.

THERE IS NO SPECIFIC TIME LIMIT AS TO WHEN YOU CAN DO EACH STAGE, however running a stage ever week would be a good idea, as in:
Stage 1: is from now to the 9th,
Stage 2: the 10th to the 16th,
Stage 3: the 17th to the 23rd,
Stage 4: the 24td to the 30th.

STAGE 1 (Original)
Stage 1 will take place in the Original Circuits Hall, at the Autumn Ring Full REVERSE.
Family Cup speed 10, total time gives you your stage time.
NO WALL RIDING OR NO AI CAR CONTACT (unless they drive into you)
2 wheels on the track at all time (this includes a ripple strip, as in, 2 wheels on the ripple strips counts as legitimate.)

STAGE 2 (Dirt & Snow)
Stage 2 will take place in the Special Conditions Hall, at Cathedral Rocks II NORMAL DIRECTOIN
EASY race in the normal direction, the total race time is your stage time. (2 laps)
NO WALL RIDING, NO AI CAR CONTACT (you will get penalties if you do)

STAGE 3 (City Courses)
Stage 3 will take place in the City Courses Hall, at the George V Paris NORMAL
Free Run, your best one lap time gives you your stage time.
NO WALL RIDING OR WALL CONTACT

STAGE 4 (World Circuits)
Stage 4 will take place in the World Circuits hall at Suzuka West Short Course.
Family Cup speed 9 (Because speed 10 is next to impossible to win) the total time gives you your stage time.
NO WALL RIDING, NO AI CAR CONTACT, 2 wheels on the track at all times (THIS means 2 wheels on the TARMAC, the ripple strip is NOT INCLUDED AS TRACK, nor are the run off areas, like on the outside of 130R, these are deemed OFF THE TRACK and illegitimate times.

I think that is straight forward enough!
Let 'Rally de StigsTC' get underway!

Good looking Competition!.. Sounds fun..

Banner

Signature Banner will be updating..I have some images and things that I must get together...Since this is a broader spectrum of vehicles..In the meantime the URL in the code has been updated and as usual, when I am done with the new banner the image will change, So the only thing that needs to change is the code.

For those of you who don't know you may use the code the code below to add to your signature under 'My Profile'. You must have BBCode enabled. This will help get the word out about the competition and will link back to the current competition. The banner changes from competition to competition by changing the image file ( my job.. file URL is always the same ), and updating the URL or link to the current tune/member hosting the challenge.

Code:

Firstly, on gravel and snow there is no TCS enabled, it is automatically switched off.
On road however, the WRC still do not use TCS or ASM, so I thought it should also be switched off.
The Mitsubishi Super Rally car (Evo 9 concept) and the Subaru imprezza '03 have 40 and 60 hp MORE (respectively) than some of the other cars. If I were to include them, they'd be the only cars people would run. All the cars (with oil change) are between 300 and 325hp.
You can WIN most of the cars I've listed:
In the special conditions hall you can win 6 cars to run this challenge with.
Impreza (01 prototype) - Capri Rally MEDIUM - F1 car, Lemans car, you'll win easy.
Lancer Evo IV - Whistler Ice Race MEDIUM - any standard rally car would win.
Impreza (01 race) - Chamonix rally MEDIUM - Bit of work need to win it.
Toyota GT-four - Swiss Alps MEDIUM - same as whistler event (toughess)
Escort Rally car - Tour of Tahiti - pretty easy to win.
Impreza (99 race) - Yosemite I MEDIUM - a bit tougher, but you should win.
In order to get the Corolla, 206, Focus, lancer Evo VI, Xsara or Accent you must fork out the 750,000 for them.
Hope that helps,
StigsTC
Matt09, could you also update you banner so that the link is to this setup. MarkusXO has the code in post #3. Thanks.

As I said, there is no specific time limit on each stage (I know DjWess is unavialable until week 3), however, if you can, run the stages one week at a time. I would prefer it if they were run in order, and one week at a time. This allows everyone to know where they stand. I hope that clears it up, I tried to leave it open because people might miss a week, and thats pretty well your chances of victory over. Can't wait to see some times,

(also please list which car you used)

My car is the subaru impezza rally car 01'
For stage 1 my best time so far is 2'51.863
there is too much traffic at the first corner with the rs200 and the toyota rsc battling it out on the corner before the chicane before split 1 then there is to much understeer round the rest as I try to make it up. how do you get past them without touching or going off Question?

yeah, i made it yellow on purpose,so that it is really hard to see... just a test run, but in case I miss a stage... It'll be blue when that stage comes around.
How such a good run you ask? Very good luck.
I had a line-up without the Toyota RSC, It had the Toyota Altezza first, Toyota Wedsport 2nd, Peugeot 3rd, (don't know) 4th and the Ford RS200 5th. On the run to the first major stop, the RS200 gets into 4th, while dueling, gets slowed by the peugeot. At this point, I dive up the inside, get infront, however I have a slow exit right? I get a punt in the rear from the RS200, a great exit and pass the Peugeot. This also leads to me getting the wedsport into the long right-hander, then the altezza on the entrance to the right hander, before the left hairpin (and sector 2).
From there its flat out. I doubt I could do it again, and understeer? You are allowed to tune parts on your cars, just not buy anything. I hope I made that clear in post 1. If not please tell me. I'll update your times.

Iam currently trying to work my way through the La Sarthe II 24 hour race, and with the time I get, I'll be a couple more days. I'll try and get some races in after that, but don't reserve a spot for me yet if that's ok. I'll get in touch if I can do the first race within or near to the first week.
Cheers

Hey guys,

Do we only do practice runs then 1 proper race time? Just want to be clarified that's all. I won't be able to post tune up due to no internet so i'll have to add them in maybe a bit later. I'll be using the Escort.

You run as many efforts in Family Cup as you want.
Not like the V8 supercar challenge, same as other challenges, except in family cup.
No tune, no problem, so long as its up at some point.

OK, it is the NORMAL DIRECTION
and EASY competition (2 laps)
And if you can do the preview thing on family cup, I have no idea, try it and find out. I certainly will.
As to why the easy competition, its 2 laps, the super special stages that are run in stadiums are normally 2 laps. Thats what I've tried to emulate here, except for George V Paris, because running wide will result in wall contanct, and a 5 second penalty, which is rather counter productive in terms of trying to go fast.
I've got exams coming up, so I may have to do a few stages early, however I'm, sticking to the one stage per week.
I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but I think once you start doing the next stage, you are locking out your previous stages, so that you cannot improve them. And for that reason I am removing my preliminary run for George V Paris. Any more questions?

Updating your times now.
All I will say from some tests I ran, is Peugeot 206.
And are you guys running these stock? Or tuning the suspension and gearbox, etc. 2'54 sounds like a stock effort, or a clever strategy...
