I need clarification:
Are we running both the Camero and Commadore, or are we choosing one and running that?
Thanks

Also I vote car 'B', or 'A', umm, actually, I'll get back to you...

Banner: This banner can be placed into your Signature area, to show your support and participation in the GTVault Tuner Competitions..This banner will change with each competition. YOU WILL NEED TO MAINTAIN THE BANNER CODE OR REMOVE IT WHEN YOU ARE NOT PARTICIPATING. This is important and simply means each competition you must update the code in your signature area for it. Otherwise there is no point in putting the banner into your signature. Not maintaining the banner code, causes everyone who clicks the banner to arrive at older postings and tunes which are no longer current. This in effect can cause several things to happen.. Page after page has to be read to find the next challenge which may end in failure or lack of interest.. OR failed arrival.. OR assumption that these competitions are over..Not to mention that it reflects upon the incompetence of said participants..and failure of true involvement and proper support. The image will turn black and anyone reading it will know that it is not current.. It simply asks that you update the code.

The banner is given this link to allow everyone to go to the current Competition/Challenge without having to search or ask for it. This causes the promotional aspect to FAIL...So PLEASE don't just do it to look cool... Do it to support the GTVault Tuner Competitions.

The other option would be for me to pay for a URL redirect..and/or use my own bandwidth to do so. This would be a Service from a DNS which would use one link.. which would redirect to the URL that it is changed to each month.. ( ..and things are just too LEAN for me to do that.. )

IN SUMMARY: If you do not maintain the code, you are hurting the survival and existence of the GTVault Tuner Competitions...ACTIVELY

Thank You! Smirk

Code:

[url=http://www.gtvault.com/gt4/setup-view/s_sid::8492/]
[img]http://tinyurl.com/3x9nuky[/img][/url]

Example:

ALSO: I have a work around for waiting for the site to update to be able to edit the times or post.. it is simple...copy this url..

http://www.gtvault.com/gt4/post-form/parentid::8492/type::S/mode::edit/postid::XXXXX

Now get the number of the post that you want to edit.. ( this can be done by mousing over the quote button of the post and seeing the number in the status bar or url bar - wherever your program shows it ) and replace the XXXXX part with that number. For instance, if you wanted to edit this post, you would enter in the number 21084 making the url ..

http://www.gtvault.com/gt4/post-form/parentid::8492/type::S/mode::edit/postid::21084

Next it will take you to that post and you will be able to make the changes.. IF you are logged in, have the proper credentials, and cookies.. Now when you hit the 'Update Post' button.. it will flash to the same screen.. when you hit it the second time.. it will post the edit.. ALL DONE.. Smile

Okay I was not expecting R5's.. I have been drifting my Cuda at Deep Forest on R2's.. for awhile..One more little thing.. If your going to run the Holden against GM..IMO.. You should go GTO Vs. Monaro..Those two really are the same car..( unless your not trying to do the same car ) Pontiac is/was GM.. also..( until they killed Pontiac ).. but yeah .. The four door model I dunno... and the Camaro seems a little sluggish.. But you know what's odd is that people started to take the Vette engine and put it in the Camaro.. because the car was lighter.. thats when you started getting a lot of Camaro's that would outrun the Vette of the time.. supposedly stock for stock... Being that you could order the Camaro with the engine in it..

Anyway I am leaning toward the Chevelle right now.. The SST.. is stiff.. I ALMOST got the quirkiness out of the truck.. but its still there.. it can be fast but way different to drive..I have the car already though..and the downside is you have to have won it..You can purchase either one of the 60's Camaros.. and the SST you have to have won also.. ( course if you haven't won that its easy..and if you can't win that you should not drive a truck..LOL ).. But yeah I would enjoy setting the Chevelle up to drift Deep Forest like I did the Cuda..thing was I was always driving that forward.. so I am not for sure about how it would go in Reverse..

BTW: I am going to have to come back and touch up the banner.. I moved the text where it is supposed to be centered.. but it looks wrong.. and I have an overlapping layer which was not erased and saved.. I exported the file.. and didn't save the main so I have to do it all over again ..ANyWAY..

EDIT:Banner should update eventually..

banner updated...
The monaro and GTO are the same car, but somehow the GTO is better...
In real life... i thought it was the other way around. Then again, what would I know?
Commodore should be a fair bit quicker than the Camero, I've only run the holden with 620 hp on R1's, somehow I think R5's and 100hp will not make it anymore drive-able.

We will be using both cars for the challenge. I find that most of us like tuning/driving more than one car for the month. I was also looking hard at B too StigT.

On the R5 tire if all you tuner think it's much tire. It can be change as the challenge has just started. but I not seen a challenge so far that has used them so why not.

Also I was not thinking about a car Vs. car challenge for this round. It was more one company with different design groups.

On the GTO v Monaro I have ran both and found that the only change needed between the two are gearing and diff setting. This is because of the different motors in both.

I have a question about the image I posted in the Banner post where I post my times and all that.. Its of my Camaro.. or the one I put together for the competition.. I used a few things on it but the image doesn't look right to me on my screen.. and on the TV it looked as though it had more color and better contrast..

What does it look like on yours? Color Contrast Brightness.. Does it look too sharp?

Uhmm .. I think someone made a mistake on the time for the Commodore SS I posted .. supposed to be a 1'07.. not a 1'10. Smile

AND.. Yeah the picture ( shot ) was taken that way .. lots of shadows on one side.. but I can still see the details and reflections on the car... I used lower exposure and a detail enhancement add-on called Topaz for it.. kind of playing around .. the original does look smoother .. more like the banners..

Looks like I have more work to do on the Camaro.. Quite proud of my chase car time though..Might as well go get the Chevelle..and hopefully updating times again in a day or two.. maybe..

And Jalevesque great challenge this month. Really enjoying it.
