This banner can be placed into your Signature area, to show your support and participation in the GTVault Tuner Competitions..This banner will change with each competition. YOU WILL NEED TO MAINTAIN THE BANNER CODE OR REMOVE IT WHEN YOU ARE NOT PARTICIPATING. This is important and simply means each competition you must update the code in your signature area for it.
Otherwise there is no point in putting the banner into your signature. Not maintaining the banner code, causes everyone who clicks the banner to arrive at older postings and tunes which are no longer current. This in effect can cause several things to happen.. Page after page has to be read to find the next challenge which may end in failure or lack of interest.. OR failed arrival.. OR assumption that these competitions are over..Not to mention that it reflects upon the incompetence of said participants..and failure of true involvement and proper support. The image will turn black and anyone reading it will know that it is not current.. It simply asks that you update the code.
The banner is given this link to allow everyone to go to the current Competition/Challenge without having to search or ask for it. This causes the promotional aspect to FAIL...So PLEASE don't just do it to look cool... Do it to support the GTVault Tuner Competitions.
The other option would be for me to pay for a URL redirect..and/or use my own bandwidth to do so. This would be a Service from a DNS which would use one link.. which would redirect to the URL that it is changed to each month.. ( ..and things are just too LEAN for me to do that.. )
If you do not maintain the code, you are hurting the survival and existence of the GTVault Tuner Competitions...ACTIVELY
I have a work around for waiting for the site to update to be able to edit the times or post.. it is simple...copy this url..
Now get the number of the post that you want to edit.. ( this can be done by mousing over the quote button of the post and seeing the number in the status bar or url bar - wherever your program shows it ) and replace the XXXXX part with that number. For instance, if you wanted to edit this post, you would enter in the number 21084 making the url ..
Next it will take you to that post and you will be able to make the changes.. IF you are logged in, have the proper credentials, and cookies.. Now when you hit the 'Update Post' button.. it will flash to the same screen.. when you hit it the second time.. it will post the edit.. ALL DONE..
